i thought they did announce royal pregnancies! maybe it's different in jordan with such an extensive family. i thought rym looked quite tired in the wedding - now we know the reason. :)

Hi Carlota! The Royal Court doesn't announce pregnancies, on account of the ancient custom (both Islamic and Eastern) of maintaining secrecy to protect the child through to full term. As there is a belief that a child ought to be spiritually ad physically protected from the Evil eye.

It must be different for all Jordan Royal; since I remember Newsweek or Time had a two or three lines announcement about Haya and it was featured with Celebrities that were expecting as well.
