How wonderful to see Charlene so happy!

It is indeed. Lately it has been a joy to see her so relaxed and happy.

It reminds me of the first time I saw them together at Turin I think.

Albert should ditch those thick rimmed glasses, he looks in them like an old man, and he's not that old yet.

Princess Charlene and Prince Albert next to French President Emmanuel Macron watched the Rugby World Cup France 2023 Final between New Zealand (All Blacks) and South Africa (Springboks) at Stade de France on October 28.

South Africa won 12:11.

Great to see P.Charlene so lively, she really loves the rugby ❤️

Cringeworthy is the word upon seeing their interaction. Sad

:previous: No! That is not "cringeworthy", that is the final of the World Rugby Cup and a dream match between the Springboks and the All Blacks! We take our rugby seriously in the remote colonies . . . :D Ok, we're not colonies now but the rugby remains as our national Winter sport, equal only to our national summer sport, Cricket.

Rugby supporting is a physical activity whereby people jump up and down with excitement such as a 'Conversion', etc. where we have been known to grab the person next to you in a hug even if they are a complete stranger!

Charlene is a Springbok supporter in the fullest sense of the world, :flowers:

I meant the couple's interaction. Charlene seemed genuinely enthusiastic and excited!

In presence of Prince Albert the new town twinning between Monaco and Dolceacqua, Italy, was signed in Monaco today, November 3.

:previous: I just noticed something in the Instagram pic from Red Cross event:
Albert is holding hand with some redhaired lady, recipient or worker? I think it is sweet.:D It is showing a caring side of Albert. ;)

Poor Charlene, she just stood there as an ornament and her few words at the end trying to see 'happy new year' with her husband in unison didn't sound that convincing either.

But she spoke in French! La répétition is clearly giving her the confidence to speak en français!:flowers:

She sometimes stands with him or comes in at the end, it's always been the case.

Well if she wasn’t there, there would be loads of speculation and if she were to utter more than a greeting it’s likely it would be considered overstepping her position. Can’t see what else she can do.

No other monarchs have their spouse standing next to them during their Christmas or New Year's address as far as I am aware. So, unless it is tradition for Monaco for the spouse to stand next to the monarch (which in that case most likely was invented by Albert himself given that the principality didn't have a monarch's spouse for almost 30 years), it would be perfectly fine for her not to be there.

Exactly, a lot gets read into their relationship that is just nonsense.
