Oooh Prince Michael of Kent is going.....

Nadine, I thought of you immediately when I saw the ceremony detail, because I know how much you have been wanting to see the all the young Grimaldi cousins take part in the wedding!

I still don't think we will be seeing Ernst-August, though.....

Thank you, Moonmaiden23. :)

Yes, I love to see the family together, especially the cousins, including the boys. :) And who knows Ernst might or might not pop up. :D Still, I hope both of his sons are there, as they really are siblings of Andrea, Charlotte, Pierre, and Alexandra; they've all grown up together and share DNA with little Princess Alexandra. Also, they're reportedly all close and can be seen with them on several occasions, most recently a couple of months ago at one of Alexandra's skating competitions.

By the way, I agree with both you & Renata about Mozart's "Sanctus", was just over at youtube getting in the mood, lol: YouTube - ‪W.A. Mozart: Sanctus (Coronation Mass in C-major K317)‬‏

Also, I've been checking the Official site off & on, with the latest being a comprehensive write-up of the musical programme: The Religious ceremony and The Musical Programme - Prince

ANDREA BOCELLI will be lending his tenor to the magnanimous occasion! YES!

And I'm still wondering about that excellent link that was posted earlier, detailing the presence of all four Grimaldi cousins (i.e. Charlotte, Pauline, Camille, Alexandra). Going on the assumption that's it's true, I was over at youtube listening to Camille Saint-Saens (btw many many skaters use her exquisite music in their programs, my favorite being Carnival of the Animals "The Swan"). However, if accurate, Camille Saint-Saens Symphony No. 3 will be used:

sirhon11234, in light of this 11th hour mini-scandal and rumors running rampant, I am not at all surprised that PA's children are not going to be at the wedding.

That is not something PA wants the press shining their spotlight on at this time.

I never thought they would be invited, anyway.

I understand his decision as well I just posted the article because it relates to the wedding...

I hate to say this they are illigitimate. The kids really are not, you cannot blame them, but their parents made huge mistakes. No one is going to feature their mistakes at their very public wedding.

Which is sad that they're viewed by some as mistakes. I understand why Albert and Charlene decided not to invite them but by the same token I can't help but feel bad for Jazmin and Alex.

I think if Albert had had a public relationship with his children (not that he needs to for us), than the appearance of his children would be a given.

But since we have yet to see them publicly with their father, to be quite honest their attendance might (could) take some attention away from the bridal couple. And place a lot of attention on Jazmin and Alexandre.

Frankly, I am not surprised at all that they won't be in attendance.

Great link

Oh yeah, I've been watching everything live on this channel: Mariage Princier Monaco 2011 - LIVE !

Nadine, thanks so much for posting this link. Now I just have figure out at what time the wedding is on (in Australian time).

The carpet looks great. I wonder what they would have done had it rained.

Anyone know if this wedding will be televised on American television? On what (cable) network ? Both ceremonies or only the religious cereminy?

The guest list is quite impressive! :) I would love to know more about the choices made in the private guest list. Gerard Butler is invited!! :D

Nadine,
I thought JC had an audience with Hillary Clinton that day.

Who's JC?

de nada. :)

Lol, I've been taking catnaps here & there because I don't want to miss a thing! :D Today really is the beginning of it all for ALL of us. :)

And in accordance with the big celebration to take place in approximately 6 hours, as it is now 11AM in Monaco, and according to this link the festivities won't begin until 5PM: The program - Prince

I've perused the official *royal* guest list to find out which ones are young & single & available ;) : http://www.palais.mc/monaco/root/ba..._of_High_Dignitaries_FINAL_PROTOCOL_ORDER.pdf

1.) H.R.H. Guillaume, Hereditary Grand Duke of Luxembourg ~ Catholic, born November 11, 1981, age 29. More details: Guillaume, Hereditary Grand Duke of Luxembourg - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

2.) H.I.H. Grand Duke George of Russia ~ born March 13, 1981, age 30: Grand Duke George Mikhailovich of Russia - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

3.) H.R.H. Prince Carl-Philip of Sweden ~ born May 13, 1979, age 32, not really available, talk is that he's going to marry an ex porn star & nude model: Prince Carl Philip, Duke of Värmland - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

And then there is that most mysterious, beautiful, gorgeous, born aristocrat Princess Michael of Kent ~ 66 yrs. old and still going strong! Imho she is the ideal princess ~ nary a hair out of place, been married to Prince Michael for life, and both she and her pedigree are impeccable. Conducts herself with dignity and grace at all times befitting one born to the manor. I put her on par with Princess Caroline in terms of admiration. :flowers: Hopefully she shows up alongside her dashing husband Prince Michael of Kent. I still recall the stunning dress she wore at the W&K wedding a couple of months ago: Princess Michael of Kent Photos - Pre-Royal Wedding Dinner in London 3 - Zimbio

PS: my sister just called me to say that the BBC channel just showed snippets of the upcoming wedding.

Will Charlene today and tomorrow be led by her father to Albert or only tomorrow?

JC =Juan Carlos de Borbon

Okay, sorry, as regards his attendance at the wedding I only know what the official guest list states, just like you all, and it states he will be there, so here's hoping he actually shows up. :)

After taking a catnap I went here ~ Mariage Princier Monaco 2011 - LIVE ! ~ to see the latest. And at first I was disappointed because they were showing the same things over & over again that I saw way earlier, but then they just showed The Eagles singing "Hotel California". Ahhh, it brought back the time I attended a concert by the group Kansas and they sang "Dust in the Wind" outside. Superb! Just wish I was there to have seen the whole thing, even via the 'net. :)

Only downside is that my feed keeps stalling every 15 seconds or so. :( But on the (+) side I'm glad I'm able to watch it no matter the venue or the problems. :D :)

PS: it's now 2:18 PM in Monaco, which means we only have a little over 2 1/2 hrs. to go! YES!

If the wedding starts at 5:00 pm monaco time... any idea what time that will be for east coast of the USA?

:previous:

To learn what time the wedding will air in your country (then state in some cases), click on the following link:
The World Clock – Time Zone Converter

Enter the date and time of the wedding (1 or 2 July 2011 at 17:00pm/17:00) and 'Monaco - Monaco' as the original time zone. Then select the closest option to your area from the drop-done list under 'Select place to convert to' and TWC will convert the time for you.[/CENTER]

I am so excited how the todays dress of Charlene will look like and how Prince Albert is dressed.

That's 1am here on the east coast of Australia (for those who may wish to watch if possible).

Does anyone if Albert's kids are invited?

It is said that Caroline is going to wear a blue dress tomorrow with a tiara and Char a necklace full of diamonds. She hasn't yet chosen what dress to wear, though.

Sound promising but not knowing what to wear yet? I find that weird. She must have got something made specifically for her.

KASUMI, thank you for the video about the pen. It is beautiful and a privilege to see it up close.

Is the wedding ceremony white tie or just the ball afterwards? I'm thinking they both are as there isn't much time in between the 2 for guests to change.

Oh my heavens! Is that not just the most beautiful pen you ever saw? I know with grand Royal weddings that no stone is left unturned but I didn't think that even the wedding PEN was so important. I am going to watch the civil ceremony again now just to see that pen being used! Oh I love all this, hee hee.

This was an absolute joy to watch, thank you for posting it Kasumi. :flowers:

I didn't realize so much preparation and detail went into even the wedding pen....amazing....makes me wonder if the pens will be available to buy? or just for the royal couple? and their guests? Hopefully the former. :)

ETA: and also I just watched the civil ceremony again to see if that was the pen they used. :D
