Ooooh excellent to hear all who are going so far :) Sweden makes sense since they just went to Victorias and Daniels plus PA is a Ruling Sovereign so expecting lots of Kings Queens and royals!!!!!

Me too :flowers:

I expect almost the same royals as at the Swedish wedding!

Ahhh, I was studying those pictures of the Salle Garnier for a long time yesterday, totally in awe! No words to describe its splendor, grandeur, elegance, total magnificence!

I'm still in awe...

Also, yesterday I was re-reading old threads about Caroline and Ernst's relationship, trying to surmise where they are at in their relationship, and if he will be invited to the wedding. To me that's the $1,000,000 question?

Renata, the most part of the photos you found on Google are the Salle Garnier of the Opera in ... Paris. The most famous "salle Garnier" is at the Paris Opera and not in Monte-Carlo. Though a few photos are of the Salle Garnier of the Monte Carlo Opera but a few ones only. The great stairs is the one from the Paris Opera for exemple. I think it's probably 'nearly' the same of the conceptor is the same artist. and of course it's absolutely stunning (even the one in Monte Carlo). Happy they ditch the Musee oceanographic as well even if the I would like to know what they had decided to do to "accomodate" the Musee. Certainely a lot of artistic things but unfortunlately we never know now.

Rosapru, I admit I didn't check every photo, due to lack of time!
The main thing is that the venue is so much better!

In Nice Matin to day it is said that the music team carabieniers will play an Charlene's anthem in honor of Charlene Wittstock when the couple will appear at the balcony after the civil wedding
At the TV, there was a documentary on Jean Michel Jarre, he spoke about the concert he will give for the wedding of Prince Albert and the report said that the concert will be boardcast internationaly in live

Thanks, melina premiere, for the good news!

So it's going to be like Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden and Daniel Westling's pre-wedding festivities, wherein they had a FABULOUS concert the night before!

Here's crossing my fingers that that similarity will continue with footage of Albert & Charlene taking their first dance as a married couple, a speech from Albert to his new bride, and the cutting of the cake! :) :flowers:

The civil wedding will be bardcast because the native monegash people could watch the wedding on big screems on the place of the palace than we could also watch the wedding, we will see the couple at the balcony and the couple at the cocktail they will offer to the people of Monaco , the big concert of Jean michel Jarre will be boardcast internationaly, there was saturday evening a documentary on the wedding of Monaco, and we heard Jean Michel Jarre saying where will be the place of the prince Albert and his guests. The To morrow Stephan Bern who will comment the wedding said the wedding in live will become at 4 pm, the religious ceremony will begin at 5 pm, we could see all the royal or princely guests arriving at the palace. There will be the religious ceremony and the procession of the couple to Sainte Devote church where there is a little ceremony ( the future princess will offer the bouquet to St Devote ) the firework will be boardcast but I do not know if the dinner, speeches will be boardcast as the wedding of Princess Victoria.
I forget the concert the prince and Charlene will give for guests friends and relatives the 30 juni evening in the stadium Louis II. I think it will be boardcast.

since this is a state affair, the protocol might dictate that E-A should be there. However, these are Grimaldis, so....:whistling: But, personally I don't think he will come, he wasn't present at the National Day Festivities. Besides, I don't think his wife wants him to be there.. Would you want to see your estranged husband in your brother's big day?

The first time I got a good view of the Salle Garnier was the night of Prince Albert's investiture, when the Princely Family attended a ballet there.

It took my breath way...it is just so beautiful and I would have given ANYTHING to be there!:whistling:

I personally see no reason why E-A should be invited. He is Princess Caroline's estranged husband, and has not been seen in the Principality since the separation....not even for Princess Antoinette's funeral.

Has E-A not moved into his home in Monaco? I thought I read that somewhere. He is Alexandra's father and Caroline is still wearing her wedding jewellery. I don't think we have an inkling of what's going on with E-A and C. I feel the same about E-A's exclusion from the wedding as I feel about the exclusion of a certain British duchess re: W & K's wedding.

We'll draw a discreet veil over the presumed non-appearance of that lady :) I'm sure W & K have more interesting things to think about.

PA and CW will also have far more fun if EA does not appear.....

No, he hasn't, there weren't any news like that. We only had a bad google translation of
an article about his son Ernst August junior who had private plans for a family residence
in Germany, maybe you've read that as well..:)

Hmm, well I still think there's a good probability that E-A will be there, just because this is an entire family affair. Nothing like it before since Prince Rainier's wedding to Princess Grace, and for that matter Princess Charlotte to Prince Pierre, it only happens once every 50 years or so ~ the marriage of the sovereign, ruler.

I can understand him not being at Rainier's Funeral (though both of his sons were) because he was in the hospital in a coma at that time, and also his absence the last few years at National Day, Red Cross Ball, Rose Ball, Princess Antoinette's Funeral, et al, due to his estrangement from his wife. But, this is another matter all together, this is the wedding of his daughter's only uncle on her mother's side of the family, not to mention a very rare and important occasion as mentioned in my first paragraph.

My hope is that they make a "united" front for the wedding, and that E-A is on his very best behavior (lol I don't have to worry about Caroline). And that means not bringing his latest paramour with him, not drinking to excess like he did at the Spanish Royal Wedding wherein he went overboard and never made it to the wedding itself the next morning (aka shades of "Jack Black" Bouvier), and not beating anybody up. Rather, if he is invited, I hope he conducts himself like the HRH he is, which he had done impeccably there for 10 years by Caroline's side at all important functions without a hitch ~ National Day, Rose Ball, Red Cross Ball, et al. :)

Anyhow, I am hopeful! :flowers: At the very least I would like to see both of his sons there, like they were at Prince Rainier's Funeral. And I do have reason to hope because Prince Ernst August Jr. was last seen with Princess Caroline and Princess Alexandra on March 16, 2011 (one month ago) at the annual figure skating competition in Monaco, wherein Princess Alexandra won 2nd place for the second year in a row. Here's a pic:

I do not think Prince Ernst August will be at wedding because he is with an another wife and he is not seen for 2009 in Monaco. I would like to see him because there is her daughter he is the prince of Hanover and he was also very kind with Charlene when she appeared for the first times in Monaco and we often saw them behind the princely family at the events like balls and so, he is only separed from Princess Caroline but don't dream he will not be here on july the 2th, perhaps his sons?

He can't have a second wife, he is still married to Caroline by law- I don't think he'll be there my opinion

If E-A did attend it's very likely he would bring his lady friend. It's probaly best if he didn't attend so as to avoid awkwardness.

Yep, you're right. :D

And I still say it's the $1,000,000 question? Part of the fun will be watching the guests arrive, including you-know-who. :p

Well, we'll have to wait and see ......
Personally I think of him as "the Spectre at the Feast"....

Oh, Renata4711, you always manage to find humour in the most witty ways possible, I love it! Btw, my first thought when you said that was this: http://letrasmp3.com/images/discos_l/the-spectre-within.jpg

Okay, back on track, time to focus. :) I for one am over-the-moon about 32 yr. old Prince Carl Phillip being there, as well as 32 yr. old Gareth Wittstock, both of whom I find absolutely gorgeous and available. ;) Seriously, in the days of yore, one would usually find one's mate at such occasions (particularly in royal circles), which makes me wonder whom they will hook up with. :D Btw, here are some pics of these foxes:

ENJOY!

Prince Carl-Philip has a very controversial girl friend, whom you may or may not have heard about.

I wonder if he will bring her to the wedding? I personally hope he does not...and will escort his sister Madeleine like he did like summer at the wedding of Prince Nikolaos of Greece.

I'm pretty sure he won't bring her...I don't even think he's allowed to:)

Ye gods, please, no, do not bring your present girlfriend to such an occasion, Prince Carl Phillip, that would be like Prince Ernst August of Hanover bringing his current paramour. *faints*

What has the world come to, honestly, especially the royal world, whom are supposed to be role models, people whom one can look up to for higher ideals, values, morals, et al. I fear that is not the case anymore.  :nonono:

The world seems to have gone the way of all flesh, i.e. the moral standards of any era have always been a source of tension.
The Greek and Roman civilisations had the same problems, and their philosophers and politicians have always tried to have a moan about "the young people" - the same way we do it now :)
Nothing changes...

there are two interviews on Monaco matin about the wedding
one of Mgr Barsi
one of Mr Narmino for the civil weddinghttp://www.monacomatin.mc/article/actualites/entretiens-exclusifs-avec-monseigneur-bernard-barsi-et-philippe-narmino
