Most Dazzling Royal Lady past and present
Who do you think is or was the most dazzling royal women in history? Dazzling in the way she would wear her jewels and the way she presented herself in the public eye. If possible please add a picture along with your responds. Thanks!

Dazzling jewel-wise you mean? Definately Queen mary, though Empress Marie Feodorovna of Russia is a contender as well. Of todays royals the only ones who actually have fun with their jewels and are not afraid to wear many are Queen Margrethe II and Queen Sylvia.

Queen Mary was definitly the most dazzeling. Diana and Grace wore really nice jewels but they were always appropiate and tastefull not dazzling usually. Mary is dazzeling. She has really nice jewelry that dazzles.

The Queen has a similarity with her grandmother, Queen Mary..I think its in their eyes..They are look-alike quite a little bit..and I think they are both dazzling Queens..

Wow, Queen Mary was really the most dazzling royal woman I ever saw..
She looks always perfect with all these jewels on her...and yes, I think Queen Elizabeth looks a little bit like her.

I think the most dazzling was probably Queen Mary's photogenic predecessor, Queen Alexandra. She was physically an imposing and striking woman to the end, and like Mary had the dignity to wear tons of jewels. Any other Queen Alexandra proponents out there?

Queen Alexandra is my favorite, fallowed by her sister the empress. How about any of the Russian grand duchesses. thay also have the biggest jewels but some of them did not wear them well.

I agree that Queen Alexandra could wear some jewels--but sometimes she seemd to be a little overloaded.
Here is a great photograph of Queen Alexandra looking a bit overloaded (but still wonderful) with her daughters Louise (the Princess Royal, Duchess of Fife) and Victoria (who never married). I have not seen the tiara which Louise is wearing before. Anyone know anything about it?

If you click on the photo a couple of times you will see the jewels in wonderful detail.

It looks like the one that the Duke of Westminster owns with an extra piece on the top.

I think the most dazzling royal wearer of jewels is the current Queen of England but after her is, imo, the last Empress of Iran, Farah Diba, who was exotic in those huge emeralds. She had the height to carry off some major jewels.

Oh Yes, they were both amazing but Queen Alexandra had a face and demeanor that just set her apart. I doubt we will ever see Queens that can carry that amount of gems again and not look odd. Mary and Alexandra, two dazzling queens.

Without wanting to stir up the usual Camilla vs Diana debate, I think Camilla looks pretty dazzling when dressed up for a state / tiara occassion!
