Favourite Swedish Tiara
Wich one or wich of them are your favourite swedish tiara / tiaras.
I like most of them more or less but my favourites are the Sapphire Tiara, the Cameo Tiara, the Nine Prong Tiara, The Connaught Diamond Tiara, The Baden Fringe Tiara and the large Cut Steel Tiara.
Braganza Tiara ? Well to me it is a bit too much for my taste. But it's undoubtly a nice piece and it's great to have a really big gun there so Silvia can show who is the Tiara Queen when the event demands her to do so ;-)

It is hard to choose only one at the poll. But I chose the Baden Fringe Tiara. It is somehow so simple but at the same time so elegant and regal.
The other favourites for me in swedish tiaras are:
- the Braganza tiara, it is just so big and glamorous
- the Cut Steel tiara, how it sparkles in the lights and it looks good on most it's wearers.
- the Cameo Tiara, it is different and unique
- the Laurel Wreath tiara, it has a nice history and it is different than most tiaras
- the small Cut Steel tiara, nice small tiara, the comb makes it very interesting.

I share your ideas about the Braganza tiara. It is too overpowering to make it to my lists of favourites. But I’m always excited to see it worn, it is a special jewel.
I love the Connaught tiara because it’s so delicate and has these lovely details of forget-me-nots and the wreath design.
The cameo tiara has grown on me over the years, as I used to dislike it. It is very special because of the unusual design and material, and it’s long history. I also like that it has a special tradition as wedding tiara and still regret that Madeleine did not wear it.
The Baden fringe is good, but there are so many fringes around that they get a bit boring, imo.
Another tiara I adore is the large cut steel tiara. It is so special because only few tiaras in this material have survived, and the design with the stylized feathers on top has specially grown on me. It is one tiara that looks perfect on CP Victoria, as if it was made to suit her facial shape. On the other hand it was not that successful on the other royal ladies, imho.
The laurel tiara could do with a new, lower frame. The high frame worked well for Lilian, but it's unflattering on Victoria
But if I have to settle on one tiara, I’d go for the Leuchtenberg sapphire tiara, it is gorgeous, especially with the rest of the parure.

For better visibility thumbnail images have been added to the poll options.
(Pictures are heavyly cropped to less than 20 % of the original pictures)
For a fuller appreciation of the tiara look you may refer to the linked pictures in the opening post.

The Bragança was a bit disappointing. During the wedding of Crown Princess Victoria we could see Queen Silvia with that diadem. It struck me that, despite the wall of diamonds, there was little sparkle from the diadem. Later, inside the palace (the banquet) there was some more sparkle. Most likely this was caused by three things: the rose cut of the diamonds, the tight setting (not en-tremblant) and the flood of TV-lights. I think that in the right conditions, the Bragança can glitz and glam all the way, but it did little during THE event-of-all-events: the wedding.

The Baden fringe tiara has nothing to do with Queen Sofia. It was a Wedding gift to Queen Victoria, née Princess of Baden therefore it's name.

I know. I think some tiaras may look gorgeous on their own, but when it comes to wear them the difference can be huge! I have a soft spot for the colorful tiaras but I guess they are too busy and "difficult" to wear

I stand corrected, I had the name Sofia (Hellqvist) in my mind. It is Drottning Victoria, of course.

O yes the pearls would be a perfect compliment in the collection. Not really a problem since the sapphires still are detachable.

The swedish collection tiaras is amazing. I love six button tiara , i adore Leuchtenberg Saphire tiara but the Braganza tiara ......breathless.
For me i don't know i think the cut steel large and smal are the worst.
And something else i think the ruby and the laurel wreath is the tiaras less wore from the swedish royals if i'm not make mistake.

Sophia's New Tiaria
Has the above been left out because it appears to be new and personal gift to CP's wife? I actually quite liked it.

Honeybees, the poll was set up month's before the wedding, before we knew about Sofia's new emerald tiara. That is the reason it couldn't be included. But you can vote for 'Other tiara', if that is your favourite .

Thank you for your response, I love the new tiara but it is not my favorite and with the SRF there is some choice. I love them all, even the Cameo one has grown on myself.
