1) 01 Feb 2014, Tatiana Santo Domingo married Andrea Casiraghi
The wedding was kept very private, only very few paparazzi shots surfaced. The bride wore a fringe tiara of unknown origin. Although Andrea’s ancestress Princess Charlotte of Monaco owned a fringe tiara, there are signs that this bridal tiara is a different jewel.

2) 10 May 2014, Princess Florence of Prussia married James Tollemache
29 Jun 2014, Princess Tatiana of Prussia married Philip Womack

These two brides are first cousins who belong to the British branch of the Prussian family. Their grandfather Prince Friedrich of Prussia married lady Brigid Guinness, the first known wearer of this diamond tiara. The tiara hasn’t been seen in public in a long time, but last year appeared even in two happy events.

3) 22 May 2014, Princess Ayah Al Feisal of Jordan married Mohammed Halawani
The Princess seems to have received a new floral motive tiara.

4) 24 May 2014, Bernadette von Mentzingen married Count Melchior of Schönborn-Buchheim
This sapphire and diamond tiara had been a wedding present from the French monarchist movement 'Action Française' to the groom’s grandmother, the late Countess of Paris. The tiara has been worn by several members of the Orléans family, including two other brides.

5) 07 Jun 2014, Liesbeth Lotgering married Count Roderik zu Castell-Rüdenhausen
The tiara belongs to the grooms family. It seems to be connected to a castle in the Netherlands, which the groom’s father took over from childless distant relatives.

6) 07 Jun 2014, Charlotte Paul-Reynaud married Baron Axel de Sambucy de Sorgue
The groom is another grand-son of the late count and countess of Paris, but this tiara is not an Orléans jewel but seems to be an heirloom from the Sambucy de Sorgue family.

7) 28 Jun 2014, Lalla Soukaina of Morocco married Mehdi Regragu
The bride is a niece of the King of Morocco and wears an apparently new emerald tiara.

8) 05 Jul 2014 Elisabetta Rosboch von Wolkenstein married Prince Amedeo of Belgium, Archduke of Austria-Este
This art deco diamond bandeau originates from Queen Elisabeth of the Belgians and is well known for being worn by Queen Paola, who loaned it to the bride of her grandson. Elisabetta is the second bride to wear this bandeau, the first one being Queen Mathilde.

9) 12 Jul 2014, Sarah Lorenz married Hereditary Prince Alexander von Isenburg
This floral diamond tiara is an Isenburg heirloom which became famous when Princess Sophie von Isenburg married Prince Georg Friedrich of Prussia.

10) 12 Jul 2014, Princess Theresa von Oettingen-Oettingen und Oettingen-Spielberg married Carl Christian Oetker
(Pooh, that’s a lot of “Oet”!) Not much is known about this diamond tiara, but it has previously been worn by the bride’s mother.

11) 19 Jul 2014, Archduchess Magdalena von Habsburg married Sebastian Bergmann
There’s not much known about this tiara. But since the brother of AD Magdalena is planning to get married this year, we might see it again soon!

12) 26 Jul 2014, Theresa von Einsiedel married Prince Francois d‘Orléans, Comte de Dreux
This heirloom tiara belong’s to the mother of the bride, a born Princess of Urach. It’s usally a diamond tiara and the central diamond was changed for a sapphire to be the “something blue”. (The groom is the third grandson of the late Count and Countess of Paris who got married in 2014)

13) 16 Aug 2014 Princess Amélia of Orléans-Braganza married Alexander James Spearman
This tiara was a surprise as it has not been seen in public before this wedding. It is a heirloom from family of the bride’s mother, who is a born Princesse de Ligne.

14) 14 Nov 2014, Oum Keltoum Boufares married Moulay Rachid of Morocco
The bride received a new emerald tiara on her marriage into the Royal Family of Morocco.

Please let us know your opinions on the different bridal looks. Which tiaras did you like and why? Which ones did you not like so much? What do you think about the corresponding hairstyles, the placement of tiara and veil? I am curious what you are thinking.

I've always loved the Belgian Art Deco diamond tiara so that was my choice. The hairstyle complimented the bride as well.

For me the best four were the ones of the British Prussians, the Oettingen-Oettingen-Oettingen-Oet ...uhm Spielberg, the Belgian art deco and the Isenburg one. In the end I went for the most flowery, so I picked the one of Isenburg. Still, it could have looked better if it would have been placed slightly differently, and with a different hairstyle.

And a special mention to the Auction Francaise tiara worn by the new countess of Schonborn. The tiara isn't outstanding, but since it was worn by the late countess of Paris & some of her daughters it would get the sympathy vote... if that could be included.

Quite a few nice surprises in 2014 btw: I didn't expect the fringe tiara on Tatiana, and I never knew the this particular tiara of the de Ligne family. The Castell tiara was also a nice surprise, the Dutch bride must be the only compatriot that outglittered the brides of the royal family.

Handsdown, Tatiana Santo Domingo; i already knew the pictures, but was still excited before clicking on the link, it is such a gorgeous tiara and such a lovely bride (probably would have been better if i said that the other way round ;) )

I hadn't seen the pic of Lalla Soukaina of Morocco before, but i really like that tiara on her, she wears it really well (i don't think this tiara would suit everyone)

and my bronze medal goes to the Oettingen tiara, real sparkler and that's always good ;)

I have been looking at these pictures for ages while preparing the poll. And also during the last year, while I was always on the lookout for new royal brides to marry. And still it was so difficult to decide on a favourite one.

I ended up with with the Prussian tiara, because it looks so delicate, without being small. I love the tiny floral wreath going in circles, the airy look of the tiara with the veil (I think it is much better place on Princess Florences than on her cousin).

But I nearly voted for the Isenburg tiara, but think that it looked much better on Princess Sophie when she married GF of Prussia. The hairstyle of Princess Sarah put me off a bit.

The art deco bandeau looked great on Elisabetta Rosboch, it fitted her sleek hair and her personality. But in the end I preferred the more romantic looking floral designs.

Tatiana, for sure. She was a proper bride with the best dress, best hair, best location and the tiara added to what must have been a jaw-dropping sight.

I think Tatiana nailed it with that magnificent Fringe Tiara. Now all we have to do is track it's pedigree! Who would have guessed the Queen of Boho Chic would knock it out of the park with that classical tiara and hairstyle, or that fabulous fir trimmed velvet cloak? And I think a good closeup of the silver embossed or bejewelled clasp on that fairytale cloak wouldn't go amiss either!

Wow! The epitome of "The Snow Queen". Now if we could just get a shot of the actual wedding gown I would be happiness filled.

I voted for Lalla Soukaina because it's such a classic and youthful tiara for her. It also reminds me a lot of the Norwegian amethyst tiara/necklace which is one of my favourites. Too bad Soukaina's tiara is slightly hidden behind her hair and placed rather flatly on her head. Perhaps it's convertible into a necklace as well.
I noticed that Tatiana's tiara was also placed too far back on her head, specially if you look at the profile picture.

I do like it that she is wearing coloured stones & it is a very pretty piece of jewelry. But as is the case with the Norwegian and Swedish amythist tiara and QEII's sapphire one (and even Mary's pearl tiara) I feel that the tiara would look much better as a necklace.

Tatiana's tiara is my absolute favorite. Not only is it really beautiful, but I think it complimented her hair and wedding cloak perfectly.

My second favorite was Liesbeth. I also liked the one Arduchess Magdalena wore. I thought both brides looked great and their tiaras really worked with their hair. I wish we knew a little more about the tiaras though.

My least favorite one was Oum Keltoum's. The tiara is nice, but I don't like how it sits on her head. Plus I think her hairstyle is all wrong. It really took attention away from the tiara.

My favorites:

1. Tatiana
2. Sarah Lorenz
3. Florence and Tatiana of Prussia
4. Princess Theresa
5. Elisabetta

It's my least favourite, too. But then I usually dislike these v-shaped tiaras, as the shape doesn't complement the face well, imo.

But I find it interesting that both Lalla Soukaina and Oum Keltoum wore emerald tiaras. My guess that this is due to the symbolism of the colour in Morrocan weddings, as the bride usually wears a green caftan for the first wedding ceremony.

That is such a beautiful tiara!!

I agree. I don't care for the v-shape tiaras either. They always look odd to me.

That is interesting that they're both wearing emeralds. Looking at Lalla's tiara again, I think I would put it in my top 5. I love the style and think it looks lovely with her hair.

Melissa's tiara is really pretty, but I don't think it suit her. I don't know if it was the way she styled her hair, or just the way it was placed, but the tiara looked too big for her.

Melissa Percy got married in 2013, so that's why she is not included in this poll. I think that her tiara is stunning, it's an heirloom from the Dukes of Northumberland. But I agree, it looks to big for her. And it doesn't help that the velvet base shows so much. But what do you do when there is an heirloom tiara and it doesn't fit? Go with just flowers in your hair? I think that I would choose the tiara anyway.

Oh, I would definitely choose the tiara. Regardless of the fit, I'd find a way to make it work. I think a different hairstyle probably would have made Melissa's tiara sit better.

I wish we knew more about Tatiana's tiara. It looks so similar to Princess Charlotte's. But then a lot of fringe tiaras look alike to me, because Tatiana's also reminds me of Marie-Chantal's fringe.

The fringes of Monaco have become quite a mystery with Tatianas wedding. I think that there are some comparions pics somewhere in the wedding thread or in the Monaco jewels thread, that show that Tatiana's fringe differs from the fringe necklace worn be Princess Caroline. But do we really know if the necklace is identical to Princess Charlotte's fringe? Is Tatiana wearing Charlotte's fringe in a different way? (Charlotte wore it as a bandeau) Or is Tatiana's fringe new? I'd truely love to know more about it.

Btw, I too would choose the tiara. There's nothing more fascinating than a family tiara. Alas, my family has none.

I've been looking at photos of Caroline's necklace and at first glance, it does look a bit different than the tiaras worn by Tatiana and Princess Charlotte. But I'm not sure if it's because it's a different piece, or because it's being worn as a necklace. I imagine it hangs/displays differently when not in it's frame.

I wish we knew more about the tiara too. I think the only clue we might get is when Charlotte or Pierre get married. If either Charlotte or Pierre's bride turn up in a fringe, then we could assume that Tatiana's tiara is part of the Grimaldi collection.

My family have none either. But that's probably good because if they did, I might end up wearing it every day.

What a beautiful diadem was that, worn by Theresa Prinzessin von Oettingen-Oettingen und Oettingen-Spielberg. Wonderful!

I voted for Tatiana Santo Domingo that tiara is awesome. I also liked Elisabetta and Amelia.

My vote went to Tatiana Casiraghi(nee Santo Domingo). The runner-up is Oum Keltoum Boufares.

I have posted a comparison picture of the Monaco fringes here: http://www.theroyalforums.com/forums/f20/grimaldi-family-jewels-20-10.html#post1751653

At the moment it looks as if Charlotte does not think about marriage. And if the rumours are true, Pierre is going to marry Beatrice soon. She comes from a tiara owning family: two of Beatrice’s half-sisters have worn the same diamond tiara, and her sister-in-law wore a coral tiara. So there is only a small chance that she will wear a Grimaldi tiara, imho.

Yes, it is such a pity that the picture quality is rather poor. I would love to see the design of the Oettingen tiara more clearly.

But on the other hand her hal-sister Mathilde wore a Fürstenberg tiara at her Wedding and not one of the Borromeo Family.

Very beautiful tiara of Princess Florence and Tatiana of Prussia.
