Hello everyone,
I'm happy to join the community. I've browsed a lot over the years. I'm JM, and I have a YouTube channel called Roots and Routes where I make videos at the intersection of history, genealogy, and language. I think I'd like to ask a lot of questions here, and I think (hope) that some of my videos might be of interest.
My latest one is called "How many ancestors do you have?" In it, I use the royal ancestry of HM The Queen of Denmark as a model, in attempting to estimate how many unique ancestors people are likely to have, at various levels of consanguinity.
