The Member Introduction forum is a forum for new members to introduce themselves to the rest of us - so that the new members might get a chance to know people here at the forums. The hope is that new members will feel comfortable enough to become participating members. Sharing knowledge or "speaking" out in public can be a drastic step for some, and it helps to know you're in a safe environment while doing it.
Starting a new thread to introduce yourself is also a good way to discover how the forum works - how to post a thread, how to respond to comments, and so on.
When introducing yourself, you might want to include something so that people get to know you:
How did you find TRF?
What's your favourite ice cream flavour?
How long have you been interested in royals?
What aspects of royalty interests you?
or something like it. You only share as much as you want to share.
