It was revealed in the recent Vanity Fair interview with M-C & Pavlos that during M-C's labour with OK, she began bleeding heavily and lost a lot of blood, so much that I believe she nearly died. More info can be found in their Current Events thread

actually, as long as they check into a hospital rather than a private clinic (which i belive she did with her 4 child) she should be fine. A hospital will hve quicker and ready excess to the blood that she'll need shld the complication happen again. But let's hope that all goes well for her this time.

But I read that her 4th child was born at the Portland Hospital in London. Isn't that a proper hospital?

Yes, I think Sarah of York gave birth to Beatrice and Eugenie in that hospital.

Congrats to the family! I know, I am unforgivable late with my greetings, but I really couldn't do it earlier!
I once lost the address of this site! Just after many, many months and long searchings I have at last found the site again!!! I just happened to look for a picture of Anne-Marie and was conducted to this site! And now it is almost 4am and I should have been sleeping already hours ago, but how could I go to bed, when there is so much to read!

I have read that the names of their four children were announced about two month after the birth. Does anyone know, why these announcements were so late?

^^ I don't know about orthodox, but I think they are members of some branch of catholicism, which either way encourages many children.

No. That is Prince Nikolaos and his girlfriend Tatiana Blatnik. The news services have really mixed those couples up lately.

Has anyone heard anything lately about MC? She must be in the final stages of her pregnancy. There's been no news on that either, so I take it no news is good news. I know she didn't attend the wedding of Prince Joachim nor the christening of Pss Alexia's youngest daughter so she must be taking it easy these last few weeks. Let's hope there are no complications this time around and there's good news to be had (and that it's a healthy girl!)

Well, the baby is not due until the beginning of July, so technically we might have to wait a bit longer! Can't wait to find out if she has a boy or a girl!

Pavlos and Marie-Chantal had their fifth child, a boy, 4 kgs, at 6:45am on Sunday June 29th, at the Cedars-Sinai Hospital, Los Angeles.
