Caroline walks in front of the Sovereign Prince.
I don´t like Charlene at all, but i don´t think her dress is too sexy. Caroline and Stephanie themselves use very sexy dresses in these parties. Caroline used a transparent one last year.

I am not certain it's him at the ball. I saw a pic of Carlo once and of course I never found the pic again. So I think it could be him. You're right, they have the three older sisters who have a different mother. Carlo and Bea have the same mother.

We can see Beatrice, Stavros Niarchos (I think) Charlotte, the guy, and Tatiana. Is Tatiana's brother?

But he could be, I mean Sabrier is always at the ball. Anyway, it doesn't matter, but I was hoping it was Julio, because he seems cool and I like the SD's (most of them) It's interesting playing the ID game, though.
Nathalie Cox, I don't know about Andreas & Eugenie dating. Maybe. I understand they are very good friends. I wouldn't be surprised if they dated. But the last I heard, she was dating some hot guy of whom there were pics posted last summer (in Eugenie's thread at TFS): the two on Spetsopoula (the Niarchos island in the Aegean) for her birthday celebrations.

Very close, just one letter off: Vanina Mandelli. I didn't notice at first she was pregnant 'cuz I wasn't paying attention to her but in that purepeople pic, I can see it. I think you're right. Pregnancy suits her very well. She is pretty for the first time! Her face is so much softer and filled out. She looks beautiful. I never thought I'd say that about her.

Do they have roses on them?? I haven't come across any good HQ's for getting a good look. They are sort of like the pair he wears that have the skull n' crossbones only it seems like roses on this pair.

Princess Caroline is her own sovereign!! To her Albert is just the little brother she used to kick around like a soccer ball!
On my own now.......
I said it before, and I'll say it again, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Charlotte's dress. I saw someone ID it as Chanel Haute Couture. It's a perfect pick for the occasion and looks fantastic on her. I like Tatiana's look too. I love that jewelry piece on her forehead. I wish I could see the whole dress of Gaia Repossi, because from waist up she is lovely. She's another one (like Vanina) who is not a classic beauty, but she can put herself together and look fabulous. Gaia has great style and beautiful hair, and there is something very ..... very elegant, and "cool" about her. I didn't notice Eugenie Niarchos in any pics. That's surprising.

Charles and Camilla of Bourbon-Two Sicilies also attended, I don't have the link to the pictures right at hand, but Camilla looked terrible especially her hair.

I can't help myself, but CW's dress was a bit of a disaster. It doesn't show her at her best. As usual she has made no effort to go along with the theme of the ball.

Tatiana was wearing what is known as a "tikka" in the East. Most of all she was enjoying herself and did not look inhibited or buttoned up- Tatiana and caro via their dress made concerted efforts to be thematic to the Ball.

I am so happy Charlotte chose Chanel! As soon as I saw the collection, I knew the dresses were perfect for Charlotte - they are young, and she looks so great in the pale pink. Definately not right for Caroline.

I don't know where it came from, but it's not her style.

It wasn't too terrible, but not appropriate. But then she has no official status, so she doesn't neccessarily need to be appropriate.

No, she did not snagged it. It's part of the design of the dress.

Thanks for the info regarding "tikka" for Tatiana's dress. But I don't understand what inspired Princess Caroline's dress. How was her dress in keeping with the theme for the Morocco inspired gala? Her dress looked like a Hawaiian muumuu style to me. Muumuu's are dresses that are gathered at the top and loosely hang from the shoulders, and have a floral pattern. Muumuu's are also popular with obese people. I did not understand her dress at all. Princess Caroline did look lovely as usual, aside from the muumuu dress.

I think comparing Caroline's dress to a muumuu is going a little far. It wasn't loose or baggy (like muumuu's normally are), in fact, it was rather form fitting. Notice the slight gathering just below her bust and hips to give the added impression of curves and then a long straight line to floor to make it look like she's got long legs? It's just the A-Line/princess cut of her dress. It gives added height to a lot of people (and Caro looks pretty tall in most of the photos I've seen) due to the seamlessness of the cut. She's worn this style once before, at the 2008 Red Cross Ball, at pulled it off then as well. It takes a certain body to pull off an A-Line (you can't be too wide at the hips but neither can you be too thin at the hips) so if Caroline can wear it then more power to her I say. As far her dress tying into the theme, it's very subtle. She doesn't have to wear a caftan to make it work. The blue of the neckline of her dress matches (almost exactly) the blue of the motifs used by Jacques Grange (I also noticed the rose print, which is rather appropriate considering). If you wanted to get into detail, you could say that her earrings match a common Moroccan motif (the four pointed star or the diamond made from four smaller ones). As you pointed out before, she's also carrying a fez hat. I don't it requires a strong amount of detail that matches (although Beatrice's gown is one of my favourites of the night) but just enough to matter. Too much and it would be overwhelming. Just my two cents.

I only scanned these posts, did not study, or read every word. But was there any information about E-A not accompanying PC?

Love the video - you really get the atmosphere of the ball. I enjoy the way Caroline strides out confidently in front of her brother as noted in earlier posts & the "shuffle " dance of Albert on the packed dance floor. What I still don't get is how Pierre & Beatrice arrive & pose as a couple, & Andrea & Charlotte appear together while their partners hover in the background. I only draw attention to this because I'm pretty sure it has happened at previous balls & I wonder why.

What I think is that she's snagged the dress with her jewelry.

Yes, Charlene has done definitely something to her teeth. Before it used to look normal, pearl colored. Now she has to many teeth in her mouth, all the same size, all very white. I don't like it. It doesn't look natural...

Queen of the ball, in my opinion - Beatrice. She simply gorgeous. She and Pierre are an excellent pair. Carolina Charlene and Charlotte gladdened beautiful dresses. Andrea simply transfigured, manly.
Great photos without watermarks

Yes. I never noticed that before until someone else brought up that Charlotte and Andrea don't pose or interact with their significant others at the Ball, while Pierre and Beatrice not only pose together but dance together as well. I thought at first maybe it has to do with official status. None of them are married so maybe that's why...but then I remembered Albert. Then I thought perhaps its just a formal thing. Maybe this is the type of function where, as apart of the host country, you've got to mingle with guests. Then I realized I was giving way too much thought to an undeserving subject. Pierre probably doesn't give a you know what about decorum or anything like that. Seems his personality.
Btw, how adorable was he in that video? He looked so cutely startled by all the lights and cameras in his face.
