It's probably been said and don't want to spark a debate here, but Alex reminds me a lot of Philippe Junot.

Well, i must admit that i was hoping for much more in what gowns and toilletes are concerned. Caroline and Charlotte were better than last year ( it would be hard not to be, anyway... ), but i must say that K. Lagerfed has, in his spring-summer collection, a few gowns wich are much more glamorous than the ones Car and Char chose, and wich would be much more suitable for the occasion. As far as Charlene's toilette is concerned, the hair was terrible and the model she chose wasn´t at all the most appropriated for her body shape. But there are important other issues: who opened the Ball? Not Albert and Charlene I hope! If it we Albert whom did he do it with? Caroline i hope. If not, who did Caroline danced with?
As far as Tatiana is concerned, she must be suffering terribly and the only thing we could expect from Andrea is that he would be with her, comnforting and supporting him, and obviously Caroline couldn't be with her too, after all nor even she can be in two places at the same time, but i believe that she won't forget to have a friendly word to Tatiana... Once again poor Caroline. What a week!!!

Charlotte and Pierre stand out, better than their uncle and mother. It seems this year, it was a night of fun for them and their friends.

Princess Caroline's dress was from the Chanel Spring 2009 collection, designed by Karl Lagerfeld. I was curious, what inspired Mr. Lagerfeld when he designed this gown? I wonder if a men's military mess jacket was the brainstorm behind Caroline's gown?

Some pictures of the "mess jacket" style worn by various members of the Grimaldi family:

Her outfits are getting weirder every year...l
She looked horrible. And it looks like she's wearing champagne corks as a bracelet. (Hmmm, I could make that and sell it on etsy!)

Charlotte's earrings look very similar to the earrings that her mother wore to the 1983 Rose Ball.

That's something Caroline and Charlotte excel in,looking AMAZING in simple jeans and scarves! Why can't there be an annual Jeans Picnic for Charity, the Rose Ball is usually a sour disappointment!

True about them both looking their best in jeans. I've come to grips with Charlotte and her penchant for black. We'd probably understand why if we knew her better. Maybe she's secretly (or not so secretly) a goth girl, hence Alex and his eyeliner and all that black. I'd so love it if she were truly goth.

Anyway, her hair, especially from the back, looks nicely done and I'm so glad she went for the natural makeup as opposed to the heavy makeup she had last year and the year before that.

Beatrice is such a gorgeous girl but that dress is sooo matronly. Pierre could use a haircut--a near shavie head brings out his big, beautiful eyes.

Alex Dellal...no comment!

They have different types of diamonds. I think Charlotte earings diamonds look like a big necklace she used two years ago for the Nijinsky awards.

I liked Caroline's jacket, but not so much the sack dress underneath. Charlotte look nice, but I agree that she's much too young to be wearing so much black to formal events. Surely Mr. Lagerfeld can run up something in a color besides black and white? As for Charlene, I liked her dress and she really took a chance with her hairstyle, which is admirable. But when is Albert going to make things official between them?! At least the Royal Family always seems to have fun at the party! It doesn't seem stuffy.

that a minor medical operation in order to see better sideways

that she has lost weight recently.

Caroline sure played it safe this year after last year's debacle!
I wish that Charlotte would wear some color other than black - she is young and should celebrate in younger, bright colors
Charlene made an effort - she is magnificent - her gown was gorgeous. Her hairdo reminded me of the hairdos worn by Princess Gloria von Thurn und Taxis in the 1980's
when she was so wild and known as Princess Gloria TNT!
At least with Charlene at his side, Albert looks more dashing. Let's face it, he has no
style or panache.
And I am glad that Charlene was not shoved into the background.
This year's event looked much more subdued than in previous years. The guests looked more high class.
But poor Princess Camilla of Bourbon Sicilies - she always looks like a kewpie doll!

Please, I would like to beg your Pardon. what I sad yesterday about the Chanel show was wrong, bad, unkind, not true, silly, stupid, really impossible, I am so sorry, I beg your pardon, was in such a bad humor. did not really mean it, the most important is that what I sad was wrong and bad. so please pardon me !

Caroline organises the Rose Ball - Stephanie is a no show
Stephanie organises the Circus festival - Caroline is a no show.
It seems the principality has certain strictly separated sections without social intercourse between the sisters. Absurd considering the size of the principality and not to the best of it at all.
My personal opinion of course!

Please note: several posts that mainly contained a discussion
about Princess Caroline's dress have been moved to the
Princess Caroline's Fashion and Style: October 2003 -.. thread.

For those who are interested, there also is an extra thread for
Charlotte Casiraghi's Fashion and Style Part 1: June 2005 -
