Oliver was Cary Grant's wedding gift to Grace, she brought her to Monaco when she arrived to get married and he was a favourite of the whole family...the kids adored him and Grace had even a jewel styled like him.
I think he was killed by another dog, and Grace declared the whole family was depressed for this sad event.

Thanks, Ice! :) I love it! Rainier just loved animals, didn't he? He had a zoo at the palace, right? Just a tidbit from a book on them - in the early part of their marriage, one of his chimpanzees got pregnant (which was, like, a rare thing to happen). Grace was on a meeting and he interrupted her to tell the news. She was annoyed by the interruption, and hardly noticed him. When Rainier still tried to get her attention (he was so excited), she told him that she will knit something for the chimpanzee in order to make him leave.
BTW, does anyone know what kinds of animals there are at the palace zoo now?
