National Day Monaco: 2006 - 2023

I , too, wonder who is the red haired girl .I have seen her many times vacationing with the family on the PACHA ,and in Capri.
Stephanie's daughters, Pauline lives in New York and as for Camille I don't know her whereabouts.

I think she is one of Princess Antoinette's great granddaughters - I think Christine-Alix de Massy's son is her father.

You're right ! She's the daughter of Keith Sébastien Knecht de Massy

A beautiful and special occasion for Monaco today. The Princely couple and their twins looked very close and relaxed, lots of smiles and kisses all round.

And suddenly this year the balconies came to life with all the little ones being present! With more to come in the new year...so wonderful to see this and be assured that there will be a new generation to take Monaco forward.

The parade was quite different this year. I missed the demonstrations of the motor cyclists and the military march past in particular. I did not enjoy the military/rock band so much... a military uniform and electric guitar don't go together so well...

Who are these kids in the balcony ? A red hair little girl and a dark hair boy? I think I've seen again the girl in Monaco

It's Rose and Sylvestre de Brouwer, children of Leticia de Massy. Leticia is daughter of Christian de Massy, son of the late Princess Antoinete. There was also another red haired girl-daughter of Keith Sébastien Knecht de Massy, himself son of the late Christine Alix de Massy. I noticed also Suzanne Chrimes - wife of Jean-Léonard Taubert-Natta, himself son of Elisabeth Anne de Massy

Is it only me or I see a bit of red hair on Gabriella?

No, I've noticed a strawberry tinge in the past.

One of the best National Day turnouts for a while. Lovely to see so many members of the family and all the children present.

Thanks, melina, a lovely little moment between father and daughter captured there. So cute to see P Albert melt in the presence of his children. The twins have grown so much, they are supercute!

Like i've already wrote before in a previous post on another thread i admire P. Albert's ability to unite the all family around him on marked occasions: they're all there, sisters, nephews and nieces, grandnephews, cousins, second cousins... This year's National Day was one of those occasions. Lovely to see the family reunited on such remarked day for the monegasques...

It seems that there was a great turnout earlier! It looks as if it were sunny but everyone was wearing clothing that was more suited to autumn/winter; so perhaps it was cold there at the same time.

I loved the videos of the family on the balcony, the children are super cute! I particularly loved Jacques's little salute to the crowd, but Gabriella seemed less enthusiastic about waving, haha. Alexandra is becoming quite pretty and it was also nice to see the de Massy descendants.

It is a pity that this gala of national fest is not a gala with tiara
Princess Grace always wore a tiara at the national fest, after her death, P Caroline and P Stephanie wore no more tiaras at this gala

Every year, I have the hope to see again the tiaras , but no

Thank you, melina for this lovely video with Albert and her daughter.
I'd like to see Princess Charlene wearing a tiara at the gala.

Charlene look so happy now that she has two kids in her life. Radiant!

.

This has been my favourite National Day since Caroline's children were little, so many kids around, so many wonderful photos, Prince Albert with India in his arms, the lovely twins, Pierre and Alexandra with India, Raphael on the balcony, a joking Stephanie, Grandmother Caroline proud with little Sacha and so much more, it was really great to see!

Hopefully we'll all see them again next year, including the then newest addition to the family :)

Has Albert lost weight? His uniform looks badly fitted.

Some footage of Fête Nationale de Monaco 2016

Great video. Thank you. I am impressed by the ceremonies on the cour d'honneur, by the gentlemen in uniform and jacquet. Mind you, it is a self-supporting monarchy. Even the medals should be paid somewhere, the uniforms of the staff, the restoration of the palais princier, that motorcade with "carabiniers du prince", the dames du palais in the escorte of the Princess. Amazing. Very stylish and well done.

Gabriella, Jacques, Sasha, India and Raphael are melting my heart. When the baby of Beatrice and Pierre is born I am sure that my heart is more thinking of "Awwwww".

The Principality was beautifully decorated for the Fête Nationale de Monaco and the Cathedrals choir and orchestra were exceptional during the Te Deum Mass.

Does anyone know the name of the hymn they sing for the Sovereign Prince?

Is it only me or I see a bit of red hair on Gabriella?
There is red hair on Rainier's parents side who were distant cousins from the Scottish House of Stewart. Look at Prince Harry. Albert looks like that side.

Maybe there are also red-haired ancestors in Charlène's family, of course. But for the (far-away) Scottish link:

Albert I de Monaco
x Lady Mary Victoria Douglas-Hamilton
= Louis II

Louis II de Monaco
x Ghislaine Dommanget
= Charlotte

Charlotte de Monaco
x Comte Pierre de Polignac
= Rainier

Rainier III de Monaco
x Grace Kelly
= Albert II

Albert II de Monaco
x Charlene Wittstock
= Jacques
= Gabriella

The red haired gene must be on both sides of the family for it to come out.

Oh wow, thanks for the links! :)

These new pics are even more spectacular, as they are very close-up, and one can see how gorgeous the entire family is! Charlotte, in particular, really stands out in these new pics ~ she's breathtaking close-up. But what I love more than anything else is to see the interaction between the cousins, especially Sacha & Raphael, they're going to be so close like brothers imho. :flowers: And Tatiana looks stunning in her evening attire with her handsome husband by her side. Of course I already pointed out the other day how elegant, stunning, lovely, regal, sophisticated, et al, both Princess Charlene & Beatrice are; doesn't matter if it's close-up or far away, it's unmistakeable.

Looking at the pictures closely, I can see how much Raphael resembles Charlotte when she was a toddler ~ same lips, nose, similar eyes ~ except the ears, also Charlotte was a blonde. Likewise, Sacha looks like both of his parents, except he gets his blonde hair from Andrea. Also, his lips are more like Tatiana's, however the pinched look both he & his baby sister India have are exactly like their parents'. Finally, I have to say Prince Jacques looks identical to his lovely mother Princess Charlene ~ every single feature. And Princess Gabriella resembles her papa as a baby (he also had wavy hair as a child).

But what stands out for me more than anything else is how very close the whole family is ~ even in one photo Pierre holds his nephew, Raphael. And the love between all the family members really shows in each & every pic. Jmho. :)
