It is unbelievable that a country like Holland still has quite a lot of teenagers leaving school without being able to read or write (and they are not the dyslectic ones). I hope their number will decrease soon.

Princess Laurentien of the Netherlands, step-daughter of Queen Beatrix, Just published a book aimed at children, entitled "Mr Finney in de wereld op zijn kop.
Her husband, the Prince Constantijn and Princess Irene were present at the book presentation in Rotterdam. The book aims to make children think about the future of the planet and changing climate. An audio version is available.

The princess was also a guest in the programme De Wereld DraaitDoor, where she read from her book. Especially for the princess the programme was record one hour earlier (instead of live):

in the Netherlands at the Martini Church in Groningen, March 27,
2010. The symposium is part of the "Day of Letters" an initiative of
the Rotary Bel Campo Groningen Netherlands in collaboration with
UNICEF.

Princess Laurentien read from her own book 'Mr. Finney and the
World on its Head' in Dutch Julianaschool in her hometown Brussels,
Belgium, 09 May 2010. The Princess gives workshops about the
environment, the theme of the book written by Princess Laurentien.

Me neither, antonieta. Could be that it refers to the school and
not to Laurentien... Here's an additional gallery from ppe which
also explains why the event took place on a Sunday, it's not
been a normal school day, but the childbookfair "Luistervinken &
Boekenwurmen" (Eavesdroppers and bookworms).
