She doesn't specify which hotelschool she will attend but Hotelschool The Hague is considered the best in the Netherlands (and 12th worldwide) (see Wikipedia for more information on the school).

Good for her. May she follow her heart and likes and I hope she makes a huge success of her life.

Agreed, it is nice to see the daughter of a European prince choose a vocation outside of the usual financial, business, or arts careers which seem expected of European aristocrats.

I believe neither old nor young women ought to have their character judged by their fashions. But unless I have missed them or they have been deleted from the thread, I did not see any comments about the countess's character in the recent posts.
I do not believe actions should be combined with fashion as something not to be used to judge the character of royals. In general few things are more illustrative of character than intentional actions. For example, the debate about the Duke of York's association with Jeffrey Epstein is mainly (and rightfully, in my opinion) focused on the duke's actions. And as we have seen recently with Prince Joachim of Belgium, even members of royal families who are not well known cannot always do as they please without bringing unwanted attention to the royal family. If Countess Eloise had acted similarly, I imagine it would be a problem for the Dutch royal family as well.

My reply was related to a different issue some weeks ago and the discussion was subsequently deleted by the moderators.

The management, organization, logistic and hospitality skills one learns at a top school like the The Hague Hotel School / Hospitality Business School will provide the young Countess lots of career possibilities, in any business.

I agree. Countess Eloise is not a member of the Royal House. She can dress what she like. Comparing her to the future Queens like Amalia and Elisabeth is not fair. Also, bringing up the likes of the Duchess of Castro's family. Even Leonor gets flak for dressing too formal than Sofia. So I don't get it.
I hope she lives a fruitful normal life. She's lovely in her own ways.

She is young. She may change her mind 6 months down the line.

You mean Hotel School? It's possible but with something fairly specialised like that I'd say it was more likely it's something she really wants to do. Unlike say Nikolai of Denmark going into the military because it was expected and something his father really wanted this is fairly different for an aristocratic/royal young woman.

She may think she wants to do that now, but 6 months from now she has a change of heart.
The world is her oyster.

Nice, down-to-earth and sensible girl and an unexpected interview. Much to my surprise she has not the usual posh accent but talks in a normal way and with a bit of a The Hague accent even.
She talks mostly about her instagram account.
They also say that she has a job in a restaurant the next months until she can start her studies, hotel management is her preferred choice.

Eloise does well at wanting to give off the impression that she's a normal girl - like her mother she seems very down to earth and likeable. I'll look forward into seeing more of her in the near future!

Countess Eloïse gave her first instagram live interview last night - on instagram.
Apparently she is going to the Hotel school of Amsterdam - not of The Hague.
Somebody suggested that she had her last name to thank for her being allowed to attend that school. She replied that she has worked very hard at school and studied hard to be admitted.
To another question she responded that she lives in a normal house and that she has a normal life, without security, which she likes a lot.
She does not have a boyfriend now but she had one in the past and has kissed him.
She calls her uncle 'Alex' while people call her Elo, Elolo or Lo.
She says her family did not impose rules on her about what to say and not to say on social media, she herself knows where the boundaries are. Having that said she answers another question about the American rapper Kanye West with the not very diplomatic insight that 'I think that America is one big joke'.

I am not quite sure if this is what the RF needs though I suppose as Eloise is not a member of the Royal House she can do as she pleases. Teenage royals with social media is a new issue and I suppose it is a situation of trial and error.

I am really surprise she does not have security as she is from a very rich family ,
Her parents did not grow up with social media, so I think the new generations of royals have a full plate regarding this !

Do princes Constantijn and Laurentien have security guards?
