Eloise looks gorgeous. I hope she has a lovely holiday in Marbella.

Countess Eloise finished her secondary school education and passed her exams.
She posed on the terrace of her parents house for social media with a flag that she received from her school, saying 'Geslaagd' (meaning: successfully passed the exams).
The princess attended the Maerlandt Lyceum in The Hague. the school was also attended by the now Prime Minister Mark Rutte.

She is a young girl, and Instagram: I will never understand that purpose, but I find her a bit too uncountessly in some appearances, in comparison with an Elisabeth of Brabant or an Amalia of Orange. Anyway, her school has a firm reputation, her parents are not of the freewheeling kind, so I think Eloïse will develop fine at university.

I am not sure it is a fair comparison to compare her to girls that one day are expected to be queens. I assume the restrictions for the heirs are stricter than for a cousin of the heir.
So, how does she compare to other 'cousins' of heirs? For example the Danish cousins; I'd say Nikolai doesn't necessarily behave more 'proper' nor do the Behn girls. Although I also would have preferred a different avatar for united wardrobe...

Is it known what her future plans are a Dutch university or perhaps somewhere overseas? Her mother studied at a university in California..She has plenty of options

What exactly is countessy and how is she not countessy enough for you???
She is almost 18. Like 90% of people over the age of 15 have social media. I'd be shocked if even some of the heirs or their siblings don't (just have private, under different names or so on). Prince Christian of Denmark has a tik tok account and I believe some others do as well. If its okay for the future king of Denmark who is younger then Eloise to have social media, I don't see why its not okay for someone about to start college. What is the purpose of social media? Just like anyone else, for fun, to communicate with friends, to share your photos and so on.
Eloise is a private citizen. Unlike Elisabeth or Amalia she will not be queen one day. For all her title she doesn't represent anyone, and has no responsibilities to live up to. Unless she streaks naked across the lawn or drives drunk, or something to totally embarrass her Uncle, its really no one's business how she lives her life.
I just looked through her Instagram to see what is shocking people..... I don't get it. Selfies? I get the idea you expect her to be dressed like her grandmother, in pearls and dressed from the 1950's, sipping tea and attending garden parties.
Congratulations to Eloise on finishing school. Be interesting to see what her future school plans are. Unlike her cousins she will have more freedom about where she goes and what she studies even.
Her father did law at Leiden and his MBA in France. Her mother did her BA at University of London and her masters at Berkley in journalism. Will be interesting to know her choice.

The one with her bonbonellas on display was not very countessly to my very personal opinion. I simply have a other idea with a gravin van Oranje-Nassau van Amsberg. No need to expose like that for a (well-meant) sale of her clothes for a charity. Taste is in the eye of the beholder. I hope Eloïse will not become a second Camilla Crociani (Borbone delle Due Sicilie). For the rest: have a great graduation party, Eloïse.

Her father said that she intended to do a gap year but it is all up in the air at the moment depending on how the pandemic evolves.
I would expect her to study at a Dutch University (most likely Leiden University - unless she is into Economics/Business or Engineering).

In fact, she didn't have to take that many exams since the Covid-19-regulations started as the Central Examinations were cancelled (those would normally be the final two weeks of May and the results available mid-June). This year graduation depended fully on the School Examinations of the past three years (with a focus on the final year and with most likely only a final round of exams left in April) - normally it is 50% School Examinations and 50% Central Examinations.
Some students are worried that their diploma's will therefore be seen as inferior to other years; others are mainly said about the missed final school day party and the graduation ceremony and party/ies.

Compared to Camilla's children, Eloise is nicely dressed most of the time, so, based on her behavior so far, except for this one picture, I don't think there is much reason to worry.

I agree about that one particular photo. It is very suggestive and could potential problems for the young Countess. Il
She has posted a sultry photo for the public to see and yet I guarantee you if a print publication uses her and her parents will be crying foul over sexualizing a minor.
With social media accounts come great responsibility..one must be careful what is posted.

Thank you for that! I hope she manages to do some volunteer work in her gap year.

The only problem I see here is people policing young women for not wearing or acting in a way that they deem suitable and using that as a way to judge their characters.

Exactly this. Besides, if it were ever to be a problem, Countess Eloise is not a well known member of the DRF so can do pretty much as she pleases.

Eloise shared on Instragram that she will attend the 'hotel school' (a school of hospitality management) as she is interested in the management of hotels. It's an unexpected choice as most VWO-graduates will continue their studies at a (research) university while she chooses a professional degree (for which you need a HAVO-degree; which is a lower level than VWO and only takes 5 years instead of the 6 years for VWO). But good for her (and her parents) that she is following her own interests and doesn't feel the need to conform to the expectations of either 'a member of the royal family' or a VWO-graduate.
She doesn't specify which hotelschool she will attend but Hotelschool The Hague is considered the best in the Netherlands (and 12th worldwide) (see Wikipedia for more information on the school).
See Royalty (in Dutch).
