On September 12, 1989, Prince Aya (Fumihito) and Kiko Kawashima attend a press conference at Akasaka Imperial residence after the Imperial Household Council approved their marriage that morning.

All these years, later, here's a translation!

Akishino is saying that he gets the impression that the children want to take care of a younger sibling, whether a little brother or sister. He adds, "I hope so..." He turns to Kiko and asks her, "What do you think?" Laughter. She says, "When they encounter someone younger than themselves, they would be mindful of the child being younger than them, they would hold the younger child's hand and take care when walking..." The prince says, "We'll have a discussion about the future."

The video starts off with how the former IF reporter saying that Akishino makes sure the children know how to respond (greetings like "Good Morning", waving, bowing their head). Hisahito says, "Good Morning" to not only his parents and his sisters but also to the fishes, flowers and rooster. Kiko appreciates the affection that the public has shown towards the children.

I think these are clips because it seems odd their press conferences would be so short (3-5 minutes) whereas Mikasa Princess Akiko and Princess Yoko's 20th birthday press conferences were 20-30 minutes.

"Ka" character means beautiful, excellent, and splendid. Not only is her body healthy, but she is also honest, compassionate, both physically and mentally.

March 19, 2002: The Akishino family worship at Ise Jingu. It's Princesses Mako and Kako's first time at the shrine.
July 30, 2006: Prince Akishino and Princess Mako visited Mie Prefecture for the Okihiki Festival.
