Nikkei reported Belgium's Foreign Minister Hadja Lahbib said the Princess intends to invite the Emperor to Belgium.

On December 10th, Princess Astrid met Crown Prince Akishino, Crown Princess Kiko, Princess Kako, and Prince Hisahito at the newly renovated Akishino residence in Akasaka Estate in Tokyo. She arrived around 11am.

In preparation of the upcoming Belgian Economic Mission to Senegal Princess Astrid paid a working visit to Ecosteryl's headquarters in Mons on May 8. Ecosteryl "develops innovative environmental solutions for (bio)medical waste processing":

Today, May 20, Princess Astrid and the delegation have arrived in Dakar, Senegal for their economic mission in Senegal from May 21 to May 25.

In preparation for the next Belgian economic mission to Australia (October 19-28, 2023) Princess Astrid visits Telix in Seneffe yesterday, September 26. Telix is a biopharmaceutical company which develops treatments against cancer.

The first economic mission for 2024 has been announced:

Princess Astrid will chair the Belgian economic mission to Norway from June 16 to 19, 2024.

The mission will highlight the sectors renewable energies, circular economy, life sciences/bio-engineering.
