This is a very nice gesture tbh, beneath all that childlish behavior towards his family there's a good man who wishes to do good to those who need it the most.

I think Laurent would have been happier if he hadn't been born a Prince, he would have been a perfect second son for a rich family tbh, would have been able to do as he pleased and help those he wanted without so much fanfare and protocol.
