The UEFA European Championship is in full swing and after a cross against Spain, Sweden will try to take three points against Slovakia on Friday. Hundreds of thousands of Swedish supporters will cheer on our national team, but instead of flocking to stands and sports bars, it is the living room that applies to most people. The national team's sponsor Carlsberg has let Sifo find out which celebrity duo we would most like to have as company on the TV couch when we watch a football match.

Princess Christina and Tord Magnuson are having a summer house on Ingarö island in Värmdö.

Svensk Damtidning writes about Nacka Värmdö Posten's article about Victoria and Daniel building a summer house in Värmdö outside Stockholm.
Victoria and Daniel have always loved nature and the sea and are no stranger to sea life after many summers spent on Öland.
Margareta Thorgren confirms the purchase for NVP.
- They intend to build a private holiday home out there. The building permit has been approved and has gained legal force. Since it is a property that is jointly owned by the Crown Princess couple, many security aspects have been considered, says Margareta Thorgren to the newspaper.

Victoria and Daniel have bought the lot in Värmdö a year ago and the building permit has just been approved.

The purchase is a private investment and the home being built will not be a public home. Thorgren confirms that the geographical location has had an impact on the decision to buy the plot. The proximity to Stockholm and their home in Haga is important. The family intends to use the accommodation during weekends and holidays.
The purchase doesn't mean that Öland will be abandoned in the summers. Victoria has spent all her life on the island all her life and will continue to do so. Planning for this year's Victoria Days, July 10-15, is in full swing.

Svensk Damtidning tells that Victoria and Daniel had a date night on their wedding day yesterday.
They spent the evening out on the town with a romantic dinner at a newly opened Italian restaurant Spesso in central Stockholm.
They arrived at the restaurant with their security guards and were given a table a little away from everyone else, in accordance with both corona restrictions and that they could enjoy an undisturbed evening together.

About Victoria and Daniel building a summer house in Värmdö
Victoria and Daniel have invested in a plot in Värmdö and will build their very own summer place on the popular island Fågelbrolandet.
The plot, which already contains properties, was acquired last year, but now they have received a building permit for the new house. Of course also the security issues must be considered when they are building the house.
Margareta Thorgren told NVP newspaper why the family chose to invest in Värmdö.
- The proximity to Stockholm and their home in Haga is important. The family intends to use the accommodation during weekends and holidays. They think that Värmdö is a very nice area, with proximity to nature and the archipelago, and are happy to invest in something of their own.
The real estate business has been managed completely privately and therefore the royal court doesn't have much insight into how the plans are progressing. Thorgren says that this is a private investment and the court doesn't have much information to share about it, but they have informed the local community.
Victoria and Daniel haven't abandoned Öland and Solliden completely, they will divide their time between the two islands.

However, the summers on Öland will not end. In order to buy the plot, it was important that it was close to their home in Haga, as they want to use the summer house during weekends and holidays.

International youth padel tournament is launched on Öland
During Victoriadagarna (Victoria Days) on Öland, is now launched Synsam Padel Cup, a youth tournament with great international ambitions. Behind the initiative are Victoriadagarna, Synsam, Fabrice Pastor with Monte Carlo International Sports and APT Padel Tour, as well as Padel Arena Borgholm and Öland Tourism Organization.
The tournament, Synsam Padel Cup, will be played in Borgholm during the Victoriadagarna, between 13-14 July. This year's tournament will offer competition classes, for both boys and girls, aged 14, 16 and 18 years. Only Swedish players will participate this year, but in 2022, players from other countries will also be invited.
Stephan Rimér, responsible for Victoriadagarna, says that he goal of Victoriadagarna is to inspire a healthy lifestyle.
Synsam is one of Europe's leading players in optics and is committed to children and young people's opportunities for an active lifestyle. Håkan Lundstedt, President and CEO of Synsam Group says that they are super proud of Synsam Padel Cup. They are passionate about children's and young people's right to movement. For a couple of years, Synsam has been offering all children in the Nordic countries free activity glasses (a cooperation with Generation Pep), as a visual impairment must never stand in the way of play and sports. Exercise and outdoor activities contribute to better eye health.
Johan Göransson from Öland Tourism Organization says that Victoriadagarna are extremely important for Öland and something they are really proud of. A youth tournament in padel together with players with long-term ambitions feels really exciting.

Another ten entrepreneurs have now been chosen to the Prince Daniel's Fellowship's mentoring program. Together with hand-picked mentors from the business world, entrepreneurs get a unique opportunity to develop their companies.
Jenny Nordlöw, project manager for Prince Daniel's Fellowship, says that the interest in participating in the mentor program has been very great, just as in previous years. There is an extensive mutual need to exchange experiences and take advantage of the unique skills that exist in the business world.
The ten chosen entrepreneurs represent eight companies. In addition to individual meetings with the mentors, company visits, lectures and other activities are arranged that can stimulate the entrepreneurs to the next step in company development.

The Prince Daniel's Fellowship's mentoring program started in 2013 and since then a total of 53 entrepreneurs have been accepted in five rounds. The Prince Daniel's Fellowship is a collaboration between Prince Daniel, The Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences, as well as prominent entrepreneurs and business leaders. The project was launched in 2013.

Four new houses, a two and a half meter high wooden fence, wall, pool and walking distance to the Fågelbro golf course. This is what Victoria's and Daniel's new summer paradise on Värmdö will look like in detail.
Damtidning also claims that H&M's Karl-Johan and Leonie Persson attracted their best friends to Värmdö - just a stone's throw from where Victoria had her hen party.
The small gravel entrance that leads into the plot hardly rumors that there will in the near future walk a royal family. The excavators are already in full swing.
The decision from Värmdö municipality states that a new main building will be built, and three additional buildings. As well as a pool. Everything is framed by a two and a half meter high wooden fence and a wall.
On the 16 386 square meter plot, which also adds 7 359 square meters of water area, there are already four buildings. These will be demolished and replaced with new ones.
In the building permit: "All buildings have standing wood panels that are painted with iron vitriol so that they become silver gray, the windows are made of wood and should be treated so that they also get a gray tone. Victoria and Daniel will keep the bridge, as well as parts of an older stone bridge, and a boathouse. The shoreline does not appear to have been used for years and is covered with reeds.
Along the shore strip that frames Fågelbro's golf course, there are plots and luxury villas. Most of the land is owned by H&M billionaire Stefan Persson, whose summer house is close to the eastern corner of the golf course.
Daniel surely likes that they will be within walking distance of Fågelbro golf course. At then Golf club there are also swimming pools, tennis courts and padel courts. Daniel told a couple of weeks ago that he tries to play padel two times a week. The road to Victoria and Daniel's plot goes straight through the golf course.

Värmdö has long been a nest for the rich and famous, countless celebrities have chosen to live permanently or have summer houses in the archipelago municipality. Värmdö is a short car or boat trip from Stockholm and has around 45,000 inhabitants. In the summer, the population expands to more than double.
The municipality consists entirely of islands, of which Värmdö is the largest. Several of them, also Fågelbrolandet, can be reached by car.
Fågelbrolandet is an exclusive but rural island with a reputable golf course, Fågelbro Golf & Country Club, which in 2013 was bought by H&M billionaire Stefan Persson for SEK 100 million. Persson's basic idea with land purchases on Värmdö was to create an open and vibrant archipelago landscape by including nature conservation, cultural environmental protection, sports facilities, agriculture and the development of nature and culture trails, everything taking place in close collaboration with the WWF for Nature.
The Persson family, one of Värmdö's largest landowners, has concentrated its ownership on Fågelbrolandet, where the family has a large summer residence. Already in 2014, when Stefan Persson bought Malma Gård, the family owned several hundred hectares of land on Fågelbrolandet. The purpose of Persson's land purchase has always been to protect natural land from exploitation. Stefan Persson, with his more than SEK 100 billion, will be Victoria and Daniel's richest neighbor. Stefan Persson's nephew Nils Tham has a summer house on Fågelbrolandet with Félice Jankell.
Jacob Wallenberg owns Breivik's farm on Värmdö, the king's friend Olof Stenhammar owns large parts of the land on northern Värmdö, he lives on the estate Norrnäs farm and owns the manor Siggesta farm, which is a popular excursion destination for families with children. Victoria and Daniel's friend Louise Lindh has a huge villa on Ingarö on Värmdö.

The aim of the study is to investigate whether the Crown Princess has used fashion in a different way than other royals in history and today. Svensk Damtidning writes that Victoria and Daniel attended this evening their friend Richard Båge's 50th birthday party, which started at 19.00. Richard Båge and his wife are among the donors donating sculpture "Life Rings" to Princess Estelle Cultural Foundation. Richard Båge is one of the founders of Insplanet and Cayboy, formerly MediaPlanet. He is also a partner in companies Storytel, Doktor.se and Meds.se. In 2015, he was on Expressen's top 100 list of Sweden's richest noble people.

Gunilla von Platen, one of the entrepreneurs/inspirers at Prince Daniel's Fellowship and its entrepreneurial programme, told at her interview in Di Dagens Industri, that she is going to a Prince Daniel's Fellowship Entrepreneurial Trip to Silicon Valley. So obviously the Fellowship is planning the trip, it was a paywall article, no more information was told at the part open for everyone.
 
On Wednesday Victoria and Daniel should have attended the inauguration of the Sami Parliament, but instead Victoria attended alone.
Margareta Thorgren said to Expressen that Daniel has been very much looking forward to participating both during the day in Lycksele and on a county visit on Thursday. But when Daniel felt milder cold symptoms on Tuesday, he refrained from participating these events out of respect for the other participants. As it is a mild cold, any further changes will not be needed in Daniel's program.
Victoria and Daniel are double-vaccinated against covid-19, but tested themselves for the virus when the symptoms appeared. Thorgren tells that Estelle and Oscar have had a cold last weekend and now Daniel got symptoms too.

Margareta Thorgren said to Nöjeslivet, that Daniel celebrates his birthday privately.
And even though it is a royal birthday, this does not change anything in the royal calendar. Victoria will attend the Global Child Forum Partner Advisory Board. But even if Daniel doesn't attend that, he will not be given time off on his birthday.

I've always heard Victoria's duchy be referred to as 'Västergötland'. Is Västra Götaland' dialect and/or another well-known name for her duchy in Sweden?

Västergötland is the name of the historical province that her duchy is based on. Västra Götaland is the name of the modern-day region that it's part of.
