I agree that it does seem rather unusual, but I guess the CP couple felt that it was best to give the foundation to Estelle rather than have a separate foundation in their name, since they already have the Crown Princess Couple's Foundation.
 
I do not feel that there is anything extraordinary in naming the foundation after Princess Estelle , after all Princess Ingrid Alexandra has a sculpture park in her name ,and has been involved in choosing the sculptures displayed there . I think it is a lovely way to introduce HRH to art in a practical way .
 
My question is who will fund this organization?
I feel that royals must be careful in setting up and establishing organizations and foundations. Funding is not easy and many times wealthy donors have murky backgrounds and or ulterior motives.

Princess Estelle's cultural foundation is founded to promote cultural activities in Sweden. There is a Royal tradition of supporting Swedish cultural life and a conviction that culture is a necessity for an open and modern society. The Crown Princess couple has a strong commitment to environmental and health issues, so including culture is therefore perfectly natural.

Through the sculpture project at Kungliga Djurgården, the Foundation wants to highlight the importance of art since art experiences have witnessed positive effects, both at the individual level and for society at large. The interaction with contemporary art opens our minds, causes us to reflect, shape new thoughts, give us new knowledge and learn to embrace the unforeseen. Thus, contributing to enriching our common environment with contemporary art is not just about creating timeless monuments, but about awakening conversations and offering long-term quality of life for all.

Princess Estelle Cultural Foundation's activities are mainly financed through private donations. Victoria and Daniel and the royal family have a large network. And surely Sara Sandström Nilsson, the executive director of the Foundation, has got a large network of patrons of art during her 21 years as an owner of Galleri Andersson/Sandström

This is the part that is of concern:

These private individuals need to be vetted and screened. Shady donors like to rub shoulders with royalty and people with political influence.
For example, Jeffrey Epstein and Bernie Madoff were big donors to major philanthropic, foundations, and universities. In 2008, Jeffrey Epstein donated over $9 million dollars to Harvard University. We know the rest of the story for both him and Bernie Madoff.

I hope this new foundation proceeds with caution and screens donors. They don't need a scandal!

Princess Estelle became acquainted with the pipe organ of the Stockholm Cathedral
On Monday, February 17, the Crown Princess and Princess Estelle visited the Stockholm Cathedral in the Old Town of Stockholm. The purpose of the visit was to make Princess Estelle familiar with the church pipe organ.
The Stockholm Cathedral Parish has invited Princess Estelle to the Stockholm Cathedral number of times for the Princess to get to know the Cathedral. During Monday's visit, the Crown Princess and Princess Estelle were welcomed to the church by Cathedral Chaplain Ulf Lindgren.
Then visitors were welcomed at the organ stand by cathedral organist Mattias Wager, who showed and demonstrated how the great instrument works and can sound.
Princess Estelle got to explore the organ's 3500 pipes and see everything from the smallest 1-centimeter pipe to the largest, which is over 5 meters long. Inside the organ, the Crown Princess and Princess Estelle could see the mechanics that connect the organ's three floors to each other and also see what the magnificent Gustavian facade looks like from the inside.
Finally, Princess Estelle got to try playing the pipe organ with its keyboards for both hands and feet.

In the church, Estelle and Victoria got to listen to organist Mattias, who played the pompous Toccata and fugue in d minor by Johann Sebastian Bach.
Estelle was intrigued by the sound of the big organ:
- Is it shaking? she asked intrigued about the organ.
- Yes, it's like an earthquake, Victoria replied before the organist showed how an organ is constructed and how it works.
One opened a hatch and saw the innermost components of the instrument.
Estelle is a inquisitive little girl who loved the adventure of the church.
- I also want to learn how to play, said Estelle, who tried to play the organ.
It was an activity that the princess was obviously fond of.
- Wait, I'll find a bird song, she said, then let her fingers dance over the keys of the imposing organ that has 3,500 pipes and gives a beautiful soundscape in the stylish church room.
Mother Victoria was impressively impressed by her daughter's efforts and shouted:
- Bravo!
In a video posted by the court, you can see with what sparkling joy the charming little princess takes on the task.

On Monday, Estelle's study visits continued with an excursion to the Stockholm Cathedral in the Old Town. The place where mom Victoria and dad Daniel got married almost ten years ago. The princess was welcomed by cathedral chaplain Ulf Lindgren and cathedral organist Mattias Wager and then she listened to as Wager played on the large instrument.
We turn to Mattias Wager to find out more about the royal visit.
What did the princess think about getting a closer look at the organ?
- She was very curious and enthusiastic. I show the organ to many children and they always have many questions.
The princess also got to test playing the organ. Does she have talent for it?
- The princess did as you should - she dared! She also tested the various sounds.
Soon it will be 10 years since the Crown Princess couple got married in the Cathedral. Did you talk anything about it?
- We reminisced that day. It was I who played then.

On February 23, Princess Estelle will be eight years old. For the past six years, the princess has received charms for a bracelet she received on her first birthday. The charms have represented the province's symbols swan, pike, bare-toothed russula, floating liverwort, hermit beetle and ash leaf. The bracelet itself is linked by a cornflower - Östergötland's province flower.
Now that the bracelet is complete, the County Administrative Board of Östergötland takes a new grip and invites in a telegram from the governor the duchess to the county.
"It is an honor for us in Östergötland to have Princess Estelle as our Duchess and we are very proud of the fine fairy tale path on Tåkern's beach which bears the Princess's name. The fairy tale path is an appreciated element among big and small visitors to the nature area and its surroundings. We welcome the princess to discover more of what our county has to offer in the near future", writes Governor Carl Fredrik Graf in the telegram.
Princess Estelle is the sixth royal to have Östergötland as her duchy. Previously, there are two dukes of Östergötland in the Bernadotte family: Oskar II and Prince Carl. Previously Magnus Vasa (son of Gustav Vasa), Johan Vasa (son of Johan III) and Fredrik Adolf (son of Adolf Fredrik) were also dukes of Östergötland.

In connection with the Council of State at the Royal Palace the day after the birth, King Carl Gustaf announced the princess's name and that she became Duchess of Östergötland.
At the Tåkern Naturum there is a 700 meter long fairy tale path bearing Princess Estelle's name. The path is a gift from the county that was handed over by the then governor Elisabeth Nilsson at the princess's christening. The path was inaugurated by the princess herself on May 17, 2014, which was the princess's first official visit to the county. At Linköping Castle there is also a salon that bears the princess's name. Since 2012, there is also a pastry from Östergötland, which was dedicated to Princess Estelle after a pastry competition.

SD's editor-in-chief Johan T Lindwall writes at his column:
Princess Estelle is today not only Sweden's coolest little girl, she is also loved by a whole nation, just like her mother Crown Princess Victoria.
Now there is complete chaos out in the royal houses in Europe. The members of the royal family no longer want to be royals, but we in Sweden can lean back, because we have Estelle and Victoria.
Our king has slimmed down the royal house, which means that the future places greater responsibility on Crown Princess Victoria's family. On the day Princess Estelle is supposed to be representing the royal house, she cannot count on the help of her cousins. They are not expected to work for the monarchy. But, on the other hand, mother Victoria also had no help from her cousins. Estelle will instead be supported by little brother Oscar.
One day Estelle becomes the world's coolest queen. Why? Because she has a mother named Victoria. It can be as simple as that. So, big congratulations, to you both!

At the article is really nothing new, among other things:
Estelle is open, happy, and very social. Estelle exudes genuine joy and she is always on the alert when it comes to: looking curious and listening concentrated. She simply impresses with being so focused on the task, even though she is so small.
But while we sometimes get to see her in official contexts, her everyday life goes far away from the royal spotlight. She gets to have it in peace, although we occasionally get small glimpses, for example, mother Victoria herself told us about the pancake trip with Estelle and Oscar, an adventure where they climbed the 72 meters up to Frösundatoppen, not far from Haga, and partyed loose with the pancakes that Victoria herself had fried the same morning.

The government of the county clearly considers it a great honor to have a royal duchess and potentially a ducal visit. I hope the tradition of bestowing titular duchies on princesses and princes at birth and the tradition of duchesses and dukes' active presence in their duchies will be continued.

February 23 is not any day, it is Princess Estelle's birthday.
Eight years ago she was born into the Swedish royal family and is a beloved daughter of Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel.
There are many reasons to pay tribute to the little princess, we have listed reasons why we love Princess Estelle!
She is not only number two in the throne, she is also a future queen after her mother Crown Princess Victoria.
But the road to becoming a queen is long.
Today she is only eight years old and first there are a lot of things to learn.

Okay, I have to admit I find her totally charming and the way she reflects the values of both her mother and her father shows how utterly perfect they are for each other.

Estelle truly reflects the synergy of Sweden, whether doing her "Princess" duties, moving easily between two utterly loving but diverse grandparents and showing that "supporting" your national, regional and local sports team is a sport in itself.

No polite clapping and 'Oh, good show' for this princess, but rather smiling, grinning,cheering loudly cheering and jumping and down and waving flags. It's a full body sport and nobody does it better!

Aftonbladet's court reporter Jenny Alexandersson and royal expert Sara Ericsson speak about Estelle at this video. They stand in front of Estelle's school Campus Manilla.
They speak about Estelle's "queen school", she has visited her duchy and various places at the Royal Palace. She follows her parent at various events and learns about how her parents act in them. Estelle loves music and sport and is a typical girl crazy in horses, she has her own pony. Now Estelle has also her own Foundation, Princess Estelle's Cultural Foundation. Jenny Alexandersson says that not so many knows that Victoria is very good in drawing and painting, and that Estelle has probably inherited that from her mother. Estelle's future is decided, she can't choose her education, she can't choose her profession, but she will get a job in which she can travel at the whole world, meet a lot of very interesting people and at the same time do something good for Sweden. Her future is very different than her cousins', but Estelle seems very comfortable with her life.

Princess cake and children's party.
When Estelle celebrates her years, she celebrates like any other with a party and family dinner. But Grandpa the King misses the party.
It is the skiing competitions in Norway that put sticks in the wheel for the king on Estelle's birthday. He participates in Ski Tour 2020 on both Saturday and Sunday.
But Estelle is well celebrated anyway. According to royal tradition, cake is served already in the morning and then the festivities are full speed. But exactly what the celebration looks like, the family wants to keep private.
Next week, the sports holiday for all children in the Stockholm area begins and that means Estelle's birthday is the start of a whole week's vacations and fun. Crown Princess Victoria and Daniel have no work planned in the royal calendar next week.

Such beautiful photos of Estelle and cute to see that Oscar was included too. I can't believe she's eight already! She is blossoming into a charming young lady.
 
I think Estelle is adorable, and already so well prepared for royal life! Always well mannered and correct, but also comfortable and still with the natural exuberance of a child her age. She always seems to be having fun, and that makes her very fun to watch!
 
She is sweet and spirited. She is learning her role already but she is still a child. She is so much fun to watch.

Agreed. I have seen mixed opinions about this style of national representation (concerning the Royal House in general, not Princess Estelle) from royal watchers outside of Sweden, but it seems fully in line with Swedish values and the ways in which the people of Sweden enjoy seeing themselves represented.

On Sunday, Princess Estelle turned eight, and Svensk Damtidning can reveal that the birthday morning's traditional celebration with Mother Victoria, Dad Daniel and Prince Oscar then turned into a lovely family party at Haga.
- Yes, it is true that the king and queen were at Haga and celebrated Princess Estelle, says Margareta Thorgren.
Was it a big party?
- No, this was only for the family.
Queen Silvia came from Drottningholm with the packages and then the king joined directly from Arlanda.
The King had been on the Ski Tour in Norway all weekend to cheer the Swedish skiers. But he made sure to catch the early afternoon flight from Trondheim and landed at Arlanda just before 15.00. And then he went straight to Haga Palace to celebrate his oldest grandchild - who is one of the key figures in the future Royal House.
Princess Sofia missed the party, she was in South Africa working with her charity Project Playground. And from Aunt Madeleine and her Florida family, birthday congratulations came on the phone.

Prince Oscar's two parents have several commitments during his birthday. The Crown Princess has, among other things, the Council of State together with the king. And Prince Daniel has a meeting with Generation Pep.
There will still be plenty of time to celebrate the little prince.

I can't believe Oscar is four already! He's turning into a lovely little boy and his personality seems to be shining through more now.
 
Princess Estelle's school Campus Manilla is closed today after a student tested positive for the new corona virus.
The court confirms to Expressen that it is not Princess Estelle who is infected.
Princess Estelle is a first-grade student at the school since August.
- Due to a corona case at school, a letter has been sent to all parents tonight. That's why Princess Estelle stays at home today, says Margareta Thorgren.
She says it is not Princess Estelle who is infected. During Thursday, the school will go out with more information on how the situation will be handled in the future, but states it may need to be closed for several days. Several other students at the school are already in voluntary quarantine as they have been living in infected areas.

I'm glad that Estelle isn't the affected student but I also hope that the student who is recovers quickly. Coronavirus is said to have less of an affect on children so hopefully it will resemble a common cold or flu more.
