H.R.H. Crown Princess Victoria is the patron of the H22 city fair - A smarter city in Helsingborg. The patronage provides a clear support for the city's development work towards 2022 and the City Fair H22, which focuses on the sustainable and smart cities of the future.
Helsingborg has a proud tradition of arranging large fairs. In 1955 H55 was arranged and was considered so innovative in architecture, design and craftsmanship that sometimes it is said that it was there and when modern Sweden was born. The then King Gustaf VI Adolf was the highest patron of H55.
Now it is happening in Helsingborg again: The city organizes H22 - A Smarter City, a city fair that explores and shows how the sustainable and smart cities of the future will be planned and built. H22's patron is H.R.H. Crown Princess Victoria.
- It is a great honor that the Crown Princess chooses to support our work with H22. The Crown Princess's knowledge and commitment to social issues and sustainability work is famous and means a lot to our high goals with H22, says the municipal executive chairman of Helsingborg Peter Danielsson.
The Crown Princess visited Helsingborg in January to see how the city works with sustainability and smart urban development. In connection with the visit, Helsingborg City sent the formal request for royal patronage for H22, which the Crown Princess has now accepted.

Highlights of the ALMA Award Ceremony 2019
 
Victoria is the patron of the Pink Ribbon (Rosa bandet) campaign also this year.
She got information about the cancer research at her visit to Karolinska University Hospital on 6th September.
- We are very proud of the Crown Princess, also this year, wants to join and pay attention to the Cancer Foundation's Pink Ribbon campaign, and as the campaign's official patron when it is possible to visit and visit the new research on site, says Ulrika Årehed Kågström, secretary general of the Cancer Foundation.
In the laboratory, the Crown Princess saw, among other things, how tissue is taken care of, partly for healthcare and partly for research. She also saw how NK cells immune cells can be used in cancer treatment.
- The Crown Princess's ontribution to the Pink Ribbon campaign has made that it has become a popular movement. A campaign that unites and touches people all over Sweden, says UlrikaÅrehedKågström.
This years Pink Ribbon has been designed by perfume creator and entrepreneur Ben Gorham.

HRH Crown Princess Victoria is the Patron of The Swedish Soldiers Homes Association

Association Chairman Johan Rydén today announced the gratifying news that HKH Crown Princess Victoria on April 28, 2020 has adopted the Patronage for The Swedish Soldiers Homes Association. The news was communicated during the national teleconference - the annual meeting - which replaced the congress of the year.
- The Soldiers Home is working to high pressure to meet the conscripts' need for meaningful leisure during the ongoing pandemic. The support from the Crown Princess feels very good and confirms that the work done by the Soldier Home movement is important, says chairman Johan Rydén.

Double award ceremony in 2021
Due to the restrictions imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic, we have been obliged to postpone the Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award ceremony. Originally planned for June 1, 2020, the award ceremony will now take place on May 31 2021.
We look forward to a double celebration ceremony with our 2020 laureate Baek Heena together with next year’s laureate. Hosting the laureate in Sweden is a yearly event when they share their work with readers, writers, illustrators, school Children and journalists and also take part in events around the country.

The Cancer Society's Pink Ribbon campaign has for 17 years created a high awareness of cancer and the need for research. The purpose of the campaign is to raise money for Swedish cancer research and spread knowledge about cancer. So far, the Cancer Society's Pink Ribbon campaign has raised SEK 949 million.
For the twelfth year in a row, Crown Princess Victoria wears the pink ribbon as the campaign's official patron. The Crown Princess has shown her strong support in issues concerning the development of Swedish cancer research and her commitment has contributed to the Rosa Bandet campaign becoming something of a popular movement.
- We would like to thank Crown Princess Victoria and everyone else who is involved in the fight against cancer. Each person's contribution counts, each fundraiser, each krona, together we make a difference so that fewer people suffer from cancer and more can live a good life after treatment, says Cancer Foundation Secretary General Ulrika Årehed Kågström.
This year's Rosa bandet (Pink Ribbon) is designed by folk music duo First Aid Kit, sisters Johanna and Klara Söderberg.

The Crown Princess is the patron of the Cancer Society's Pink Ribbon campaign.
On Friday 25 September, the Cancer Foundation's Pink Ribbon campaign began. For the twelfth year in a row, the Crown Princess is the patron of the campaign, which is ongoing during the month of October.
Every year, just over 61,000 people in Sweden receive a cancer diagnosis. Of these, almost 9,000 are diagnosed with breast cancer, which is the most common cancer among women. Today, 8 out of 10 people who suffer from breast cancer survive.
Men can also get breast cancer, although it is uncommon. Just over 60 men in Sweden are diagnosed with breast cancer each year.
Campaign to fight breast cancer
The Pink Ribbon campaign runs during the month of October and aims to fight breast cancer by funding cancer research, spreading knowledge about the disease and raising public opinion. The campaign has been conducted annually since 2003 and for the twelfth year in a row, the Crown Princess is the campaign's patron.
This year's designer of Rosa Bandet is the artist duo Johanna and Klara Söderberg from First Aid Kit.

Victoria is again the official patron of Folk och Kultur 2021 (People and Culture).

For the second year in a row, H.R.H Crown Princess Victoria will be the official patron of Folk och Kultur (People and Culture). Folk och Kultur will be performed from Scenkonst Sörmland's studio in Eskilstuna during 10-12 February, with all broadcasts open to the public.

Victoria handed out Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award to swedish picture book artist Eva Lindström this evening at Stockholm Concert Hall. The prize amount is SEK 5 million. The Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award was created in 2002 by the Swedish government to promote every child’s right to great stories.

Crown Princess Victoria extends her patronage of WaterAid
H.R.H. Crown Princess Victoria has agreed to continued patronage of WaterAid for another five years. The Crown Princess has long been committed to the right to clean water and since 2011 has acted as patron for WaterAid.

The last of February is the day when rare health conditions are recognized both nationally and internationally. It is a Swedish initiative that has now spread globally.⁠
The very first Rare Diseases Day was in 2008. Then HRH Crown Princess Victoria became our patron. Ever since then, she has been helping us put rare diseases and our members' rights and needs in focus.⁠

Since 1993 H.R.H. Crown Princess Victoria has been the patron of the Swedish Child Diabetes Foundation. As part of her long-term commitment, today on World Diabetes Day, she wears a blue knot to show her support for all children, young people and adults living with type 1 diabetes.
A big thank you to H.R.H. Crown Princess Victoria who is with us in the fight against type 1 diabetes.
