Benjamin Ingrosso was one of the singers at Victoria's birthday concert. Benjamin's mother Pernilla Wahlgren told at her podcast:
SVT sent the "Victoriakonserten" and it was obvious that the whole royal family was impressed by the talented singer and entertainer.
In the latest of Pernilla Wahlgren and Sofia Wistam's popular podcast "Wahlgren and Wistam" revealed what happened behind the scenes after the appreciated concert.
Pernilla Wahlgren told about how proud she is of her son who performed to the royals. Sofia Wistam then notes:
- Estelle sat and sang with and could the text, says Sofia Wistam.
For television viewers it was quite obvious that the young princess is very fond of Benjamin Ingrosso. Suddenly Pernilla reveals that her son got some warm words from Prince Daniel after the lights went out and the broadcast was over.
Benjamin and the prince stood close to each other afterwards and talked low-key but intensely about their impressions after the successful concert. Pernilla now reveals what was said between the young man and the prince:
- Prince Daniel came to Benjamin afterwards and told: "We listen to you at home all the time and Estelle can the songs", praised Daniel Benjamin, who assimilated the fine words.
Benjamin became so excited by the prince's compliments that he had to tell his mother about it.

The editor-in-chief Johan T. Lindwall writes that Victoria's birthday highlights the whole island on a warm summer week and people call it Öland's National Day. Lindwall writes that of course it is a little strange that Victoria celebrates her birthday officially every year and not have this day as private for herself. But the crown princess loves this and knows what it means to everyone who likes monarchy and the royal family. It is clearly a bingo to the royal house and the monarchy as a form of government that there is the celebration of Victoriadagen and the crown princess. To be on Öland and experience these days is exceedingly special and if you ask from Lindwall, he says: Don't never stop it!

Victoria said to Svensk Damtidning's reporter that in the morning she had the joy of hearing her little family singing to her. They celebrate very commonly with a cake brought to the bed, they celebrate like most people. And it become just like she had wished! Victoria said also that it is great that her children can meet their cousins in Solliden during the summer. Victoria was asked what she wishes for the year to come and she said: A lot of time with my family.
And one and a half hour after Victoria had thanked her last well-wishers in Solliden, she and the whole royal family were at the birthday concert at Borgholm Sports Arena.

The Victoria Concert inaugurates a new unique venue. On July 14, 2020, the concert will take place at the new venue at Borgholm Castle. The new venue is called the Slottsporten. Slottsporten is located outside Borgholm Castle's northeastern tower with views from the Alvarskanten over Borgholm harbor and Kalmarsund. The location shows an extremely beautiful part of Öland for the TV viewers and concert visitors. The new venue also fulfills the requirements for an event of the time with historical ancestry and royal brilliance that allows for further development of the celebration. The Victoria Concert will continue to be an accessible folk party and be attractive to TV viewers, visitors and collaborators. In addition, Slottsporten offers the opportunity for more people to participate in the folk party.
- Thoughts about a venue outside the castle have been around for a long time. Already in 2014 in connection with an EU project, adjustments were made which laid the foundation for a venue outside the castle. The Mamas performs at the Victoria Concert
The Mamas won Melodifestivalen with the song "Move" and represent Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest (if it is held).
It is now clear that Ash Haynes, Loulou LaMotte and Dinah Yona's Manna, better known as The Mamas, will perform at the Victoria Concert on July 14.

Crown Princess Victoria risks losing out this year's perhaps most important festivity. All because of the corona virus.

The annual Victoriadagen is undeniably an event of that scale. In 2020, Victoriadagen will take place on July 14 at Slottsporten, the new playground at Borgholm Castle. It is meant to be a folk party with many visitors and artist performances from, among others, Melodifestivalen winners The Mamas.
To cancel the concert would not be easy for Victoria. But Agnes Wold, professor of clinical bacteriology at the Sahlgrenska Academy at the University of Gothenburg, believes that the event is basically impossible to implement at the present time.
- I have a very hard time imagining it will be organised. I see what's going on as an extremely lengthy epidemic. It is not a matter of a few weeks of caution, here it is necessary to keep for six months, says Agnes.

The Victoria Concert will be broadcasted on SVT1 14 July at 9 pm.
– It’s sad that we cannot give the Crown Princess a public celebration this year, but at the moment it does not feel responsible to produce a concert with thousands of people. This year we will focus on making the TV-program as good as possible, says Stephan Rimér, head of the Victoria Concert.

Crown Princess Victoria is forced to stay home
Victoria, however, will not be among the guests. At least not if the situation persists.
- Right now, the Public Health Agency does not recommend longer trips in Sweden, but if that recommendation is changed, there is the opportunity for the royal family to spend the summer on Öland in connection with Victoriadagen, said Margareta Thorgren.

Armand "Mondo" Duplantis has been one of the hottest athletes in the world in recent years. In 2018 he took the European gold as an 18-year-old and the following year it became World Championships silver in Doha. Stephan Rimér, who is responsible for the Victoria Concert, reveals that it will take place in a completely unique place:
- Yes, I can tell you that we have a new place. It will be in Borgholm Castle ruin, as planned, but not in the usual playground of the courtyard, but in a special hall called the Audience Room. It is so incredibly beautiful, and feels so luxurious.

This year, the Victoria Concert is being performed only as a TV production inside Borgholm Castle, but the event's new venue and future are outside the castle walls.
One of the big news this year was that the Victoria Concert, after more than 40 years at Borgholm Sports Arena, has been given a new venue by the name Slottsporten outside Borgholms Castle's northeast tower. With views from Alvarskanten, over Borgholm harbor and Kalmarsund, the unique place creates experiences for both concert visitors and TV viewers. In addition, Slottsporten offers the opportunity for more people to participate in the national festival, and fulfills the requirements for an event in time with historical ancestry and royal splendor.
The idea was to inaugurate the new venue this year, but this will now be done in conjunction with the Victoria Concert 2021. This year's event, which is arranged without paying audience and becomes a purely TV production, will instead be performed in one of the halls at Borgholm Castle.

- We have created the conditions for Victoriadagarna to continue to be of great national interest and at the same time to be a strong and appreciated meeting place locally. - Victoriadagarna will also carry out a simplified edition of the traditional Victoriagolfen on July 13. However, the popular Move For Fun activity at Ekerum Resort Öland is canceled. At Move For Fun, which was visited by Prince Daniel last year, thousands of children, young people and adults have had the opportunity to watch sports, try sports and be part of a welcoming sports environment filled with joy of movement. - A few days after last year's program was aired, we started making the puzzle again. Then things have happened along the way that we have had to adapt to, like that there will now not be a crowd of thousands. But it's nothing the TV viewers will notice. It will be exciting to work with the new place at Borgholm Castle. The castle is extremely beautiful, a national treasure. I hope it is good weather so we can have nice pictures at sunset. The new place is a boost for both the on-site audience and the TV viewers at home.

How does it feel to perform at the Victoria Concert 2020?
- It's a great honor and a bit unreal. The Mamas has only been together a little more than one year. The royal family seems to like us as this is the third time we are performing to them in different contexts. This year, corona silence is over Öland. The party is gone. A concert will be held in the castle ruins, but only for the guests and the royals. No one is allowed to come to Solliden to wave and cheer for the Crown Princess. The laughter is gone.
Nothing is longer as it was and very little will be exactly as before. Victoria's concert in Borgholm Castle ruin will be shown on live TV, always something. But without the large audience, the atmosphere can not be the same, neither for the artists nor for the TV audience.
Victoria will probably still feel that millions are thinking of her this day and a tribute will surely paid to her in every way modern electronic technology can achieve.

Interview with Crown Princess Victoria before the birthday
Crown Princess Victoria receives in the garden at Haga. Now she tells about her great hiking trip, the fond childhood memories with the king and queen and her great wish with Prince Daniel.
Since her 40th birthday, Crown Princess Victoria has walked all of Sweden's provinces. In times when Swedes are forced to stay at home, she hopes that more people will discover nature - to also start to take better care of it.
Now the experience has become a book, by Johan Erséus, which will be released just in time for her 43rd birthday.

She herself was struck by the variety of nature during her hikes. In fact, she had already seen a trip to Sweden for her inner self: she got the vision before her wedding ten years ago, when she and her future husband Daniel listened to Benny Andersson's music, which then became the song “Vilar glad. I din famn” with text by Kristina Lugn.
- It may sound a little strange but before our wedding this fantastic song was written and we sat in the studio and got to listen. It was as if the whole of Sweden was played for me. It felt like I was sitting on the goose Akka in Nils Holgersson's journey, and started in Skåne with all the plains, depths and fields. So I thought, "how can I be Nils Holgersson?"
During the hikes, she carried with her a note with words that she received from Skara's dean in Västergötland: “Freedom. Slowness. Simplicity. Carelessness. Silence. Attributing. Spirituality." But there was not really that much reflection - instead, the hikes became educational trips where each landscape gave new lessons about everything from industrial history to geology.
That we should get out more is not just about our own health.
- It is healing and healing in many ways to be in nature, both physically and mentally. But I think that also for our future, it is important that many learn to appreciate nature, to protect it and see the values that can otherwise be lost, very quickly.
She emphasizes important actors, such as when preschools teach children about pollination and cycles. Her own interest in the environment was founded in childhood, when her parents often talked about nature and the environment, she remembers.
Victoria's own summer plans
- It is fantastic that people move outside and get an increased desire for forest and land, but wear and tear increases. So then you have to be observant of how to lay joints and maybe re-lead, says the Crown Princess. She herself will have her holiday in her favorite province.
- I have spent all my summers on Öland, so it is close to my heart for that reason.
The work for biological diversity
- We try both at home and in the organization to talk about those issues and the Royal Djurgården Administration works with biological diversity: Which trees should be especially protected and what rare species do we have in the area. We have a very large responsibility in the Royal Court and the Royal Djurgården Administration, these are quite large green areas if you think of Ulriksdal, northern and southern Djurgården and Haga Park. But they are sensitive, they are located in the middle of a densely populated city, and they are used extremely much - which is fantastic. Armand Duplantis, the Victoria Award Laureate, has today been invited to Victoria's house at Solliden.
When it was announced that Armand Duplantis would get the Victoria Award, he told to the swedish press that he will have lunch with Victoria and her family at Solliden.

Armand's agent Daniel Wessfeldt confirms to Svensk Damtidning that the 20-year-old has been invited to "fika" with Victoria.
- They should be at home with her, he and the royal family, says Daniel.
Armand grew up in the United States. Does he have a good knowledge of the Swedish royalty?
- Yes, he knows very well who they are. And one should remember that his second name is "Gustav". It probably comes from his mother, who wants to strengthen the Swedish language. And he played golf with Prince Daniel yesterday. They had a nice chat.

Victoria's greeting on her birthday from Solliden, at Solliden Palace's social media
Victoria says:
- Today is usually a special day in the palace park here at Solliden, when extra many people choose to come and greet us. And it is always very fun to come out here in the park with my family and greet all the children and adults who have come here to celebrate with us. And in the evening, there are usually thousands of islanders and visitors who together pay tribute to the year's Victoria Award laureate.
This year, unfortunately, the situation looks different. We have to find new ways to celebrate holidays and summer traditions and to spend time with relatives and friends. And some things we simply have to wait until the pandemic is over.
Recently, Daniel and I have had the opportunity to talk to health care employees in different parts of the country. They have told about what they have seen and experienced this spring and summer.
These conversations have made a strong impression on me and us. So if I may wish for one thing on my birthday, it is this: That together we do everything we can to continue to hold on, hang in there and keep our distance. There will be more summers, and there will hopefully be more birthdays. But there may never be a more important moment than now to show each other care and consideration.
Finally, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for all the nice birthday greetings I have received, and wish everyone in Sweden a continued nice summer!
