Victoria visited Rolf Luft Research Center also in 2013. On Sunday 14th November is the World Diabetes Day, so obviously that's the reason why the visit was organized this week.

Information officer Ulrika Näsholm from the royal court says that the partial lock down in the Netherlands was the reason Victoria's trip was canceled.
Victoria should have visited Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague and Nordwijk, participate at the celebration the Swedish Chamber of Commerce's 60th anniversary, but also to get information about the country's sustainability work.
She should also have met Prince Constantijn.
- These restrictions affect all parts of the program planned in Rotterdam, The Hague, Nordwijk and Amsterdam, and they will now not be able to be implemented. Against this background, the Crown Princess's trip to the Netherlands is canceled. We hope we can resume planning at some point later, said Ulrika Näsholm.

On December Victoria has a planned trip to France. There has also been an increase in corona infections. But whether that trip will also be canceled remains to be seen.
- We have to return to that when we know what the development looks like there. We are in close contact with the embassy and follow the advice and restrictions that exist in different countries, says Ulrika Näsholm.

The Embassy of Sweden in Paris at its website about Victoria's visit:
Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden in Paris from December 5 to 7, 2021
The Princess will participate in a conference with French and Swedish representatives on the decarbonisation of the economy. The fiftieth anniversary of the Swedish Institute and the 90th anniversary of the House of Swedish Students are also on the program to celebrate the relations between our two countries.
05.12. / L'Amitié - The 50th anniversary of the Swedish Institute in Paris
The Swedish Institute, in the heart of Paris, is the only cultural center that Sweden has abroad. In 2021, the Swedish Institute in Paris is celebrating its fiftieth anniversary and throughout the year many activities have been placed under the sign of friendship. It was inaugurated in 1971 with great pomp by Crown Prince Carl Gustaf, now the King of Sweden.
It is quite naturally the friendly relations between France and Sweden that are the starting point, but also a celebration of friendship that crosses generations, artistic expressions and borders. A festive program for both adults and children will be offered. Meetings with artists, site visits and the launch of the book Amitié which sums up the links that Sweden has forged with France during these 50 years.
06.12. / Conference on the decarbonisation of the economy
The Swedish Chamber of Commerce in France, Business Sweden and the Swedish Embassy are organizing a conference on decarbonising the industry with the themes of the value chain, mobility and digitization. In addition to representatives of French and Swedish companies, among others Bruno Le Maire, Minister for the Economy, Finance and Recovery, will speak,
At the end of the conference, the inauguration of "Pioneer the Possible" will take place. This exhibition aims to position Sweden as a natural leader in the energy transition and aims to achieve carbon neutrality by 2045. Interactions with tech and innovation startups are also planned. The day will end with the presentation of the Excellence Prize awarded by the Swedish Chamber of Commerce in France to three Swedish companies which have distinguished themselves this year by their success on the French market.
07.12. / Swedish student house, 90 years of history
The Swedish Student House is located in the heart of the Cité internationale universitaire de Paris (CIUP). Today, it has 43 houses and receives more than 12,000 students of 150 different nationalities.
A visit, discussions with students and a concert concludes the program.

Victoria was interviewed by Sverige's Radio's correspondent Marie Nilsson Boij.
Victoria said that it was time for Sweden to have its first female prime minister, given that universal suffrage turns 100 this year.
"Considering that it's an anniversary year, it feels a bit like that iit is time, in fact, I have to say. It is an important symbol in that", says Victoria.

About Victoria's interview in Sverige's Radio:
The climate issue is something that is close to Victoria's heart, and a topic of conversation around the dinner table at home at Haga Palace.
Victoria said that even though her children are only five and nine years old, they are well aware that they must think about the environment and the nature and the resources they have. Victoria thinks it is important to talk to the children about the issue, because they hear fragments about it in the news and preschool and school. It is important that you invite the children to talk about it, because they have their own concerns about these things.

Afterwards, Victoria visited the Swedish House of Students in Paris. The home was built in 1931 and annually receives almost 100 students and researchers who are in need of housing. Victoria talked to some of the Swedish students who live at the dormitory. And she listened to a concert with the pianist Mattias Nilsson together with three music students who live at home. The music students were from Tunisia, Brazil and Sweden.

On Monday Victoria gave a large interview to Aftonbladet's Johanna Fränden, who followed the visit in Paris.
Crown Princess Victoria on climate anxiety - and pride
The climate change is on the agenda at the French-Swedish meeting, more precisely the green transition that global industry and the economy are in the middle of. The French Minister of Finance Bruno Le Marie praises the cooperation between France and Sweden as two pioneering countries in the green transition.
Victoria agrees that it is noticeable that Sweden is seen as a good example.
- It is absolutely noticeable that Sweden has a position here and that we have a head start. The Swedish companies that are represented here have made both a major change and effort in their operations and created very good technology. As a Swede, I am here with pride.
What can you as a royal do in this?
Victoria says that all consumers and private individuals can do a lot. But she wishes it was easier to make the right choices. She is glad that Swedish companies take such great responsibility, you notice internationally that they have done a very good basic job.
The court published a couple of years ago a video, where Oscar shouts during a family walk that he has found "plastic in nature!". Oscar and Estelle belong to a generation that from an early age learned about environmental degradation, but how do you really let children approach such a serious subject as climate change?
Victoria thinks the conversation is very important. Children are very wise, they hear things on TV and radio and it is talked about in preschool and school. And Victoria is very committed, so they hear a lot about these issues, how the nature and animals and the sea feel. How the air is and environmental damage. It is important to talk about it and to give hope as well. To explain that this is what all the countries of the world work with and how everyone can make wise and less wise choices. Victoria believes in conversation and in including children. To pick up trash is also a way of doing something concrete. It's a very small thing in this context, but it still feels good to do something.
Royal climate anxiety
There is climate anxiety also in the royal family. Victoria is worried about what the situation looks like. But it feels good to see and learn about what is being done in the field, but it is a very serious situation. The time is disappearing and we must be faster in our green transition.
As an UN ambassador for global sustainable goals Victoria has, just like another famous Swede, profiled herself in the subject, albeit in a slightly different way than Greta Thunberg. Victoria praises Greta and thinks she is needed, Greta is very important and her business is important. There are many actors who are important in pushing the issue and it is important that it is done on many different fronts. Everyone needs to communicate in an own way.
The royal commitment to the climate issue is easy to see, but how do you live as you learn as a princess with all the luxury and not least air travel that most people associate with the office? Is it possible to be a climate-smart crown princess?
Victoria thinks this a lot and it is not entirely easy because it is also part of the role to travel to Paris, for example. There are many sides to it. But she thinks it is important to be in Paris and highlight the issue and show the fine Swedish examples.
The climate issue tends to become more and more political. How do you operate as a royal to be on the right side of politics?
Victoria sees that too and says that unfortunately it is so. This is something they do for everyone to have a good world to live in in the future in interaction with nature and animals. A life where the air can be breathed and where there is enough food for everyone.
Victoria is asked for a concrete tip for people who are worried about the question, what is the best thing you can do as an individual?
To highlight the good examples. To look at the new technologies that exist. We know a lot today. That's what gives hope for Victoria.

Victoria had today a digital meeting with professor Johan Rockström, Director of the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research and Professor in Earth System Science at the University of Potsdam.
Johan Rockström was previously Executive Director of the Stockholm Resilience Centre in Stockholm University. He has often been mentioned as one of Victoria's mentors.
Court website:
Johan Rockström presented the work on climate issues after the UN climate conference COP26, held in Glasgow in November 2021.
He also talked about the report "10 New Insights in Climate Science 2021" which was presented during COP26 and which, among other things, describes the risk that climate change will lead to irreversible so-called "tipping points".
