Victoria gave today an audience to State Secretary Diana Janse, Deputy Director-General Sigrún Rawet and Assistant Secretary of State Karin Snellman for a meeting regarding the international implementation of Agenda 2030.
Victoria received information about progress and challenges in the implementation of Agenda 2030, as well as information about the upcoming SDG Summit, which takea place on September 18-19 in New York.

Victoria visited Stockholm City Mission's Food Mission and Second Hand Shop in Hallunda in Stockholm today. She is the patron of Stockholm City Mission.

The Royal Court about Victoria's visit
On Wednesday 23 August, Victoria visited the Stockholm City Mission's second-hand shop and the Food Mission in Hallunda. She received information about the activities. In both stores, Victoria also met people in job training who want to approach the labor market.

Victoria visited today Rydboholm Farm in Sandkullen and 4H Farm in Vallentuna with Race for the Baltic on the occasion of the Baltic Sea Day.

And in the afternoon Victoria visited Aleris Rehab Station in Frösundavik in Solna, about one kilometer from Haga Palace.
In connection with the visit she planted an oak tree in the businesss garden. She also meet the employees and patients and gained a deeper understanding of the activities that are carried out within the framework of Aleris Rehab Station.

She was welcomed by Aleris CEO Sofia Palmquist, Aleris Rehab Station's business managers Annika Törnsten and Helena Ahlskog and Claes Hultling, founder of the Spinalis foundation.
In the sports hall, Victoria received information about the activities, teamwork and research that is being conducted. She also talked with patients and employees.

The Crown Princess drew attention to the Baltic Sea
Ahead of Baltic Sea Day on Thursday 31 August, the Crown Princess visited the BalticReed project at Rydboholm's Sandkullen farm and Vallentuna 4H farm together with the Race For The Baltic foundation.
The Crown Princess visited the BalticReed project, where the company Sjöutsikt harvests reeds which are then pressed into bales. The bales are then used as animal feed at Vallentuna 4H farm, among others.
The Crown Princess helped to harvest and shovel the reeds into the baler and wrap them in plastic for onward transport to the Vallentuna 4H farm.
At Vallentuna 4H farm, the Crown Princess got to meet the farm's employees and young people who help take care of the animals. She helped feed pigs, sheep and horses with reeds.
The Baltic Sea Festival
On Baltic Sea Day, August 31, the Crown Princess attended the Baltic Sea Festival. This year's theme for the festival is "Heroes & Anti-Heroes".
She listened to the concert where the Radio Choir led by chief conductor Kaspars Putniņš offered seven premieres, together with Arve Henriksen on trumpet, Anders Jormin on double bass and Sinikka Langeland on kantele.

Victoria attended this morning a meeting of Crown Princess Margareta's Veteran Reserve Foundation (Kronprinsessan Margaretas Landstormsfond). She is the chairman of the Foundation's Central Council.

And later today she had a meeting with representatives from the World Wildlife Fund WWF.
 
Victoria handed out Björn Carlsons Östersjöpris (The Björn Carlson Baltic Sea Prize) to Jacob Carstensen and Daniel Conley at the Grand Hôtel today.

Björn Carlson's Baltic Sea Prize will recognise researchers or other individuals who have made valuable contributions to improving the Baltic Sea environment in a broad sense.
Ninety per cent of the SEK 3 million prize sum is to be used for continued research, with the remaining 10 per cent being awarded to the prize winner personally. In the event that two individuals at a institution/organisation are awarded the prize, 10 per cent of the prize money will be awarded to each prize winner with the remaining 80 per cent awarded to the research activity (or 40 per cent if split between two separate research activities).
The prize money is to be used by the institution or research activity that benefits the Baltic Sea environment, i.e., within the sphere of work that has been recognised.

There was also a lunch at the Grand Hôtel. Victoria sat with the prize winners and governor Anna Kinberg Batra from Stockholm County.

The Baltic Sea Seminar is an annual event and this year had the theme A blue economy requires the well-being of the Baltic Sea. Behind the seminar are Briggen Tre Kronor (Victoria is its patron) and Expedition Baltic Sea, in collaboration with Stockholm University's Baltic Sea Center.
Talks were held on measures for coastal sea areas, utilization of wind power and the impact of food production on the sea. A panel discussion was held on how companies and organizations can help bring about a positive development of the situation in the Baltic Sea.

Victoria attends today WWF Sweden's autumn meeting at Ersta Terrace in Stockholm.
Victoria is a member of the Foundation's Council, there are approximately 50 members. Half of the members of the Council are representatives from Swedish organisations, institutions and authorities. The other members are selected based on their personal merits. The Council’s role is to recommend the overall direction for the Foundation’s activities as well as appointing members to the Foundation’s Board.

Influencer Therése Lindgren has today been named Environmental Hero of the Year by WWF. She received the prize of SEK 100,000 during WWF's autumn meeting in Stockholm in the presence of H.R.H. The Crown Princess.

In the book Archipelago, the diverse nature and wilderness of the archipelago is shown in a rarely seen visual splendor. Claes Grundsten, resident of Ingarö, is the photographer and author behind the book which today received the award for best nature description in the spirit of WWF. The award ceremony took place at WWF's autumn meeting in the presence of H.R.H. The Crown Princess.

Victoria gave today an audience for representatives from the Stockholm Resilience Centre around the Keystone Dialogue 6 held in Busan, Republic of Korea, on October 10–12.
Professor Carl Folke, Professor Henrik Österberg, researcher Robert Blasiak and researcher Frida Bengtsson informed about the upcoming Keystone Dialogue.
Victoria also received information about current ocean issues and how the work has progressed since SeaBOS's last working meeting in May in Stockholm.

Couschi (ca. 1747–1822) was taken as a slave child from the Danish colony of Saint Croix in the West Indies to Sweden in 1760. He grew up at the royal court and later became the foster son and servant of Queen Lovisa Ulrika.
Couschi became a well-known citizen in what was then Stockholm and died a free man in 1822. He was buried in Katarina cemetery.

Today, a memorial stone for Adolf Ludvig Gustav Fredrik Albrecht Couschi was unveiled at Katarina Cemetery in Stockholm. The memorial stone has come about after an initiative from the national organization the Pan-African Movement for Justice in collaboration with the cemetery administration in the city of Stockholm and Katarina parish. The unveiling was made in the presence of H.R.H. Crown Princess Victoria.

Victoria has been appointed as a Goodwill Ambassador for UNDP (United Nations Development Programme).
The official appointment was done today at a seminar at the Royal Palace.

HRH Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden has a long and strong commitment to sustainability, poverty eradication, democracy, climate action and equality. In her role as UNDP Goodwill Ambassador, the Crown Princess will play a key role in increasing awareness and engagement for the Sustainable Development Goals and a sustainable future where no one is left behind.
The Crown Princess’ devotion to environmental and climate-related issues led to the United Nation’s then Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon appointing the Crown Princess as one of 17 Advocates during 2016-2019 for the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. Since 2019, the Crown Princess is an SDG Advocate Emerita and from 2023 has the dual role UNDP Goodwill Ambassador for the SDGs.

Today, the Crown Princess was formally appointed goodwill ambassador for the United Nations Development Programme.
During the ceremony, in the presence of Assistant Secretary General Ulrika Modéer and Minister for International Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade Johan Forssell, the Crown Princess signed a certificate showing the goodwill ambassadorship.
Ulrika Modéer, Assistant Secretary-General of the UN and representative of UNDP, gave an update during the ceremony on how the implementation of the global goals is progressing. Minister Johan Forssell spoke about the priorities and investments being made to reach the global goals.

The Crown Princess pays tribute to the soldiers in Arvidsjaur
Victoria handed over a new standard to Norrland Dragoon Regiment K 4 in Arvidsjaur. The new standard has taken over two months to complete.
Before the standard was handed over to the regiment commander Teddy Larsson, Victoria gave a speech. She paid tribute to the regiment and that, given the current state of the world, they are an important part of the defence.
- It is with pride that I, on behalf of my father, am here today, to award you the new fixed standard. You must in all shifts honor it, said Victoria.
After the ceremony, Victoria was given a guided tour of the regiment and visited soldiers out in the field.

The King, who is the main representative of the Armed Forces, regularly distributes standards to the Armed Forces' units in connection with new or reorganizations and when old stardard have worn out.
On Thursday, the Crown Princess, on behalf of the King, handed out a standard to the Norrland Dragoon Regiment, K 4, in Arvidsjaur.

Victoria attended yesterday SVT's (Swedish public service television company) seminar "Information warfare and media use in crisis and war".
SVT must reach out to the population with news and programs even in severe crises. How it should be secured in the future was discussed at a seminar where, among others, Crown Princess Victoria was present.

Victoria met today at the Royal Palace the Ambassador of Germany, H.E. Mrs. Christina Beinhoff.

On Friday Victoria delivers The Swedish Business Award in Germany in Wiesbaden. On Sunday Victoria and Daniel attend Volkstrauertag in Berlin, Victoria gives the keynote speech.

Victoria arrived to Hessian State Chancellery in Wiesbaden to meet Boris Rhein, the Minister-President of Hesse. Victoria signed the State Chancellery's Golden Book, and got two gifts: a Hessian lion made of porcelain and a Pippi Longstocking book.

Arriving to Hessian State Chancellery
Despite the rain, Victoria walked across the street and greeted the hundred or so waiting royal fans. A little boy held out a bouquet of flowers to her. “Is this one for me? Are you sure?” she asked the child in perfect German.
She went to a meeting room with Ambassador Veronika Wand-Danielsson and the Minister-President. The focus on their discussion was particularly on Swedish companies with important locations in Hesse, such as Ikea or the paper manufacturer Essity. But new joint projects such as the “E-Highway” at Frankfurt Airport were also discussed.
Boris Rhein began the conversation with a very personal note. “We have something in common: our two sons are called Oskar. Only mine is spelled with a K, yours with a C”. Victoria agreed with a smile.
After about an hour, Victoria left and said: “Please say hello to my mother, you'll see her before me.” (Minister-President Rhein is visiting the Childhood House in Frankfurt next Monday with Queen Silvia).
Rhein spoke enthusiastically about Victoria: “An incredibly likeable, open, opinionated and discussion-loving personality. I have to say, I am really deeply impressed.” He was particularly impressed by the fact that he was able to have the whole conversation with Victoria in German. “I’m a big fan of the Crown Princess of Sweden.”

I totally agree with Boris Rhein. Her visit to Germany is a big success! She is such an intelligent and lovable person. I will watch her speech tomorrow at Remembrance Day at the Bundestag which will be a live broadcast.

Victoria attends a seminar on everyone's right to clean water arranged by WaterAid Sweden and Operakällaren Foundation at Operakällaren this morning.
She was welcomed by Abbe Ibrahim, Founder of Operakällaren Foundation, and Mathilda Piehl, Director of Communications.

During the seminar, a panel discussion was held on how the lack of clean water, sanitation and hygiene creates problems in Tanzania and what is required to solve the problems. The panel discussion was led by Jenny Strömstedt.

One of the participants at the panel discussion was Jan Eliasson, ambassador for WaterAid, former deputy secretary-general of the UN and former Swedish foreign minister. He is Victoria's mentor and their meeting was very warm:

We hope that everyone took away inspiration, knowledge and a renewed belief that together we can solve the water crisis. Or as Jan Eliasson put it: "Nobody can do everything but everyone can do something. It is undignified to give up.”"

Victoria attends on December 6 the Sweden-Finland Association's celebration of Independence Day and the 100th anniversary 2024.

Researcher Betty Ehnvall, 32, from Jakobstad in Finland is rewarded for her research on how wetlands have developed since the ice age on the Swedish side of the Gulf of Bothnia at a ceremony in the Moderna museet on Finland's Independence Day. Victoria is among the guests of honour.
Ehnvall says: It is great fun and feels even greater to receive the award when she is there. If I understood correctly, she is interested in nature. Maybe I'll get the chance to talk bogs with her and ask if she's ever visited a wetland or possibly picked cloudberries.
