My guess is that the Queen will use the Gold State Coach that she used on her coronation day 70 years ago.

Actually they have enough carriages in the Royal Stables which are nowaday only used rarely unfortunatley. I think the only time in the year when the closed carriages are used is for the State Opening of Parliament.
Wouldklike to see the Queen use the Golden State Coach again but i think it is a bnit unlikely as she didnot use it for the Diamond Jubilee. Found the procession in Cars a bit disappoinintg when compared to the procession for the Golden Jubilee 10 years earlier.

The pandemic won't be the problem. Vaccines are already available and everyone will have access to one. The problem, as I see it is, will the Queen still be alive to celebrate. The woman will be 96 by then. That's old even for a pampered royal.

Yes the procession in cars was rather prosaic. Unworthy of HM I thought. Though the later procession from Westminster Hall to BP was in open landaus.
It would be grand to use the Golden State Coach.

Yes, but her mother was even older.
And it looks like Philip is still going strong.
So I expect the Queen will still be around to celebrate.

There's one thing that should be taken into consideration too: comfortability. The Golden State Coach may look grand, but, say, how its suspension system is?

Indeed, I'm not sure the Golden State Coach will be used for the Platinum Jubilee. According to the Queen, the coach is " not meant for travelling in at all":
I wonder whether this was the reason for not using it during the Diamond Jubilee due to the Queen's advancing age even back then?

The Corby Pole Fair will take place on Friday 3rd June 2022, which is the second day of the four-day long weekend of the Queen's Platinum Jubilee. The Corby Pole Fair occurs every 20 years.

There are more updates on the MPs and Lords' present (lead by Speaker of the Houses of Commons and Lords) for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee. Parliament want to install “a pair of unique bronze sculptures of the heraldic beasts of the UK” with new inscription on the on the staircase leading to the fountain in New Palace Yard. A letter was sent to MPs and Lords with a picture of this design and notifying the total cost of £175,000. The politicians were "asked to consider making a contribution to these sculptures”. This project also mentioned that “no public funds be spent on the commission” like the stained glass window in the Diamond Jubilee. The deadline for the donation is 15th July. Michael Ellis (Conservative MP for Northampton North) is involved in the fundraising.

Like the article mentioned, it's no longer a "surprise" gift, when the design of the sculptures and inscription are leaked. But then, I would not be writing this post if this politician (most likely MP in HoC) did not secretly send the picture of the letter (with the drawings) to Guido Fawkes.

I feel bad for her. With Covid, Harry and Meghan leaving and Phillip sick it's not going to be much of a celebration.

Well Meghan and Harry aren't coming back, Covid is not going away and Phillip isn't going to get younger.

No, The Queen hardly or never celebrates the date (6th February) she ascended to the throne. She often spends the day remembering her beloved father George VI. Yes, there may be politicians or royal family's social media account mentioning her ascension to the throne on that day, but there is generally no celebration.
The Platinum Jubilee will be celebrated in a four-day long weekend (2nd-5th June), where the late May's bank holiday would be move to Thursday 2nd June and an extra bank holiday is added on Friday 3rd June.

Most of the Jubilee celebrations in the past has happened in early June, as the anniversary The Queen's coronation on 2nd June 1953. Another reason is the better chance of a good weather compared to February.

While the anniversary of the Queen's accession is usually marked in some way in her Jubilee years the main events always take place in June around the date of her coronation service. Its been mentioned before that the Queen sees the accession date as a sad day as its the day her father died, thus she likely prefers to have any big celebrations on a "happy day" rather than the anniversary of her fathers death.
On the plus side, England has announced its plan out of lockdown and to a return to 'normal life' which looks to be around June and the plan is for every UK adult to be vaccinated by July this year. I'm sure by next summer even if there has been some flare ups in winter there will be a a more normal summer. I think the Queen and RF may actually be looking forward to something positive to be honest.

I am hoping we get to see a Commonwealth tour undertaken by various members of the family as we have seen in previous jubilee celebrations.
I am sure if the Queen is able she will complete her own UK focussed tour during her jubilee year

I know the topic of Platinum Jubilee might be too soon after Prince Philip's funeral. The Times has released an article that The Queen and even Palace staffs are reportedly focusing on the Platinum Jubilee after royal mourning of Prince Philip. The article itself did not release new information on the Platinum Jubilee itself, but rather on plans when COVID-19 restrictions are lifted.

Aside from the tree planting commemoration, launched by Queen's Green Canopy (QGC) on The Queen's Platinum Jubilee, the Department for Education is planning to commission a Queen's Platinum Jubilee commemorative book. This announcement is made on the 24th May (coincidentally on Queen's Victoria's birthday).
Quote:
The purpose of this early engagement notice is to notify the market of the Department for Education's (DfE) intention to undertake a procurement exercise to produce a Queen's Platinum Jubilee commemorative book for primary school children, for completion and delivery to schools by May 2022. As part of this, or as a separate contract, we also want to commission development of teaching resources for primary and secondary school teachers to assist them in delivering a lesson and/or assembly on the Queen and her reign in the run-up to Jubilee celebrations.
This contracts Finder Future Opportunity Notice is linked to an Early Supplier Engagement Event and a PIN without call for competition.
The contractor can be either one organisation, or a group of economic operators. We are keen to receive feedback from suppliers on our proposal and therefore we will be hosting a market engagement webinar.
A market engagement webinar will be hosted by the DfE on Friday 28th of May, 2021 from 10-11am. Details of this webinar will be sent to interested parties following registration.
Bidders who are not already registered on the portal can register here: https://education.app.jaggaer.com
When registered and signed in to Jaggaer you will need to express an interest in the opportunity to be able to access all relevant documentation, including the webinar pack.
For information: Attendance at the market engagement events is not a pre-requisite for being able to submit a tender against this opportunity. If you are unable to attend the market engagement events, the information pack, along with slides and Q&A will be made available.
If you would like to attend the market engagement webinar on 28th May 2021, please express your interest by no later than 0900 on 28th May 2021.
For any assistance required in registering please contact the Jaggaer helpdesk: help_UK@jaggaer.com
This contracts Finder Future Opportunity notice is a zero value notice for early market engagement. It is for information only and is not a call for competition. The Department for Education reserves the right not to enter a formal procurement process and not proceed with contract award.
