According to UK newspapers they had this exchange:

Quote:
Mr Morrison remarked of the Queen's recent visit to Cornwall to meet G7 leaders: "You were quite the hit. Everyone was talking about you at dinner the next night."

The Queen replied: "Oh Lord. Were they really?"

Mr Morrison added: "They were. They were thrilled to see you."

That is a really nice anecdote to share since she doesn't take herself too seriously.

"To all dads everywhere, we wish you a very special Father’s Day.

To mark #FathersDay we are sharing this photograph of The Queen with her father, King George VI, and Prince Philip watching a young Prince Charles sitting on a statue at Balmoral in 1951."

The Queen seemed very animated when receiving the First Minister and delightfully interested at the museum opening!

Or perhaps, in her own diplomatic way, HM was explaining to the FM that the FMs role really was to focus on good governance rather than constantly raising constitutional matters!

Anyone besides me get a flash of nostalgia in the video of the Queen at Stirling Castle when she was walking towards something with both hands clasping her handbag behind her back? I couldn't help but think "Philip".

Lovely shots of the two of them together. As Angela Merkel‘s chancellorship ends, it‘s the final time these two intelligent women come together, what a pity..
