Weird - William and Kate were supposed to do this engagement.

Perhaps the children are ill?

I think it might be a simple misunderstanding - people were told a Prince and his wife was coming and they immediately through it was William and Catherine?

I think if you read the article they assumed it was The Cambridges some of the stall owners but it was always the Wessexes but the article is very lovely and as usual S&E impress.

I think people naturally assume (and most likely hope) that when they’re told a prince and his wife are visiting that it is The Cambridge’s as they’re obviously very popular. I’m sure once they saw how charming Edward and Sophie were, they were more than happy to see it wasn’t the Cambridge’s. The Wessex’s are getting more and more high profile over the last year and it’s likely been very good for them.

Nice to see them doing a joint engagement as it’s rare for them to do so. Hopefully they will do more as it’s so nice to see it.

Loved the photos of Sophie playing the racing game and even funnier to read she did it well. I’m terrible at those types of games, even though I can actually drive a car

:previous: Both photos are lovely of the Countess, wearing the robes and signing her photo. Sophie is one of my favorite members of the British Royal Family.

The Earl and Countess of Wessex have been meeting stallholders at a monthly wholefood and wellbeing market at the Elmfield Estate in Gilford, a village in County Down

The Earl and Countess of Wessex are such a lovely couple. Especially enjoyable seeing them out together!

I doubt Louise will be taken up royal duties ever. I understand that that Wessex's are looking for gap year options. As I understand it Louise might the be the first royal to have a complete gap year in the UK. It does make sense to volunteer with St. John's or a food bank for the year after all. And I think the Wessexs are keen to avoid the year of expensive holiday that plagued the York sisters as well.
