Charles and the Queen aren’t taking any pleasure in “punishing” Andrew as such, but they are doing what has to be done.
We don't know how much of this article is factual. Some of it sounds like it could be true, but no way to know for sure. I can definitely imagine Andrew disagreeing with any punishment since be has clearly gone through life with little or no consequences. He has wreaked significant damage on the Monarchy for which I doubt he has any regret other than getting caught. Narcissist don't stop, they just devise new ways to get what they want. I sincerely hope Charles knows exactly what Andrew is and keeps a very tight reign on him in the future.

Andrew will have to find a new role. I wonder what that would be. Will he end up like the Duke of Windsor; except - unlike D of W - as a disgraced individual. Are there any villas available in the Bois de Boulogne?

I have a suggestion, but it wouldn't be a polite one.

Old Picture:
Prince Andrew at the “Hookers and Pimps” theme party with Trump, Melania and Ghislaine Maxwell. A party linked to child sex trafficker Jean Luc Brunel - the man who supplied Epstein with his sex slaves.

Again, the receipts are there. They can go on lying until their heads fall off, but the receipts don’t lie.

The information conveyed through various articles is that Palace had simply no idea that this issue is of this magnitude. Now there is a frenzy on how to deal with this.
If the Palace really had no idea, it means they blindly went by Andrew's assurance to the Queen (that he did no wrong.. the vaguest assurance, but can be readily bought by a loving one)

Receipts does mean proof.

This is from the Sun and DM ran it.

Of course we don't know if the staff is spilling but Andrew not doing the Christmas stroll is a good idea.

Proof. It was dumb for Andrew to say he rarely party, when there’s tons of receipts to back up the truth that he does party. It was dumb of Trump to say he don’t know Andrew, when there’s receipts to back up the truth that he do know Andrew. So again, let the lying continue, but let’s remember...there’s receipts out there.

This sordid story reminds us all that these people (Royals, celebrities, politicians or whatever) are surely not like the average Joe and live in a world full of power, money, privileges with different rules (with no rules for that matter).
Sex rings, hookers, escorts (male or female), drugs and even worse have always been part of the game, and the BRF has always been quite "active" on that front ( Duke of Clarence, Edward VII, Duke of kent, the Profumo scandal (suspicions) etc ...).
So some people now seem to discover that, shocking, this alternate world, forbidden for the ordinary mortal, exists .
The naivety of some members on this board is astonishing.
Andy has been dumb enough to get caught , but be sure that the world is still full of Epstein, waiting patiently for an useless, rich man with a title and good connections to play with.
Andrew is just the top of the Iceberg ...

I can assure you, I am neither naive nor expect that Royals or those in power don't abuse their positions, however I can most definitely feel outraged. I expect those in privileged positions to be held accountable just as those in the lowest positions are held accountable. The fact that they aren't because they are famous, powerful, rich or Royal and get away with it should make everyone outraged and demand that they receive exactly what they deserve. Period.

I’m not sure if this article belongs here or in the “relationships” thread, but I’m posting it here because it is ostensibly focused on the recent talks between Charles and Philip.

I certainly didn’t expect the talks to go smoothly, but I did expect that father and son would be on the same page about this. I also hoped that by now their relationship had improved, but based on this article, it’s as strained as ever.

They are just too different to get along smoothly.

Charles has never been close to his brothers (possibly due to the age difference). I always thought he'd sideline Andrew the minute he succeeds.
The Epstein business gives him the perfect excuse to do it sooner.

As far as future plans are concerned, I think Charles would be wise to streamline the monarchy; the number of people crowding that balcony are clear evidence of that.

You're right, though I would have hoped that by now their relationship could have improved as it did between Charles and the Queen.

It almost feels like Philip would disapprove of anything Charles does just to disagree - I wonder exactly what his preferred plan would be for the monarchy.

The huge age gap between Charles and his brothers wouldn't necessarily make it an impediment for them to be close but they'd have to have almost a parental relationship instead of a brother/friendship/hang out together kind relationship. From what I've read of Andrew, I suspect he might think that Charles is doing this to punish him because he's jealous of him (that Andrew was their mother's favorite, etc.) - he seems that out of touch.

I fundamentally disagree. I love the crowd of family on the balcony after the Trooping--the family gathered to celebrate the matriarch's birthday.

I know it was for a different occasion, but the small group on the balcony for the Jubilee was just sad.

First, not all family members gathered on the balcony are working royals or even HRHs.

Second, the number of working royals will be streamlined by attrition.

The Queen's sister, four children (and three spouses), and three first cousins (along with two spouses) are/were working royals.

But Charles has only two children and none of his first cousins are working royals. And of course one of his brothers has been stripped of his royal duties while the brother's former wife lost her royal status when the marriage ended.

None of William's first cousins will be working royals and we're not even sure about his brother's children.

And if you read the Mail Philip and Charles joined forces to talk to Andrew.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...-monarchy.html

So at the end and as usual, nobody knows what really happened and the contrary is just pure speculation.
