His engagements will surely appear retrospectively in the court circular. It just means waiting longer to find out his movements.

A senior member of the royal family being disinvited from carrying out official engagements at an event is a pretty big deal. That’s part of the consequences Andrew will face now.

Not only doesn't Andrew ever have his upcoming engagements posted on the FE page of the British monarchy website, they never publish any upcoming engagements in Northern Ireland for any royal. It is a security issue.

The reason the Met didn't investigate is that there was no request from the AG of Florida to depose him and, having seen a list read out on TV of the great and the good in Epstein's contacts, Andrew is small fish.
I don't believe that Andrew is obligated to meet with Attorneys on a fishing expedition to see if the actual sight of him jogs Virginia Roberts Giuffre's memory for even more salacious behaviour. It is no accident that the letter requesting meeting was "leaked" to CNN, after all, it's free publicity.
Don't get me wrong, I am not victim shaming but, had there been any actionable information against Andrew I am sure that an official request would have been forthcoming. There was none. The same applies to the NY case, there was none. Saying that Andrew should make himself available to the private lawyers of Virginia Roberts Giuffre in pursuit of information to use in a possible civil suit against him is really odd.
Since Epstein's death, should any evidence of criminal behaviour come to light, I have no doubt the FBI will reach out to the Met and that Prince Andrew York will be made available to the prosecution.

I agree. I think this is a publicity stunt.

Until there is more information coming out the public is going to be treated to these tidbits
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...mments-7439679
The press is determined to taint the whole House of York on this scandal one way or the other. If evidence comes out that Andrew did know about Epstein's crimes before the arrest the questions will be how could you expose your daughters to this monster? The 400000.00 for the birthday party is an extra stick to use.

No I am pointing out the York princesses are unfairly being dragged into the mess and they had nothing to do with Epstein. I doubt Beatrice asked her dad to invite. Epstein to her party.

Back then it was an honor to have the by now disgraced Weinstein, Epstein and Maxwell at a party - Hollywood and Wall Street!
And it did cost 400,000 Pound, the party?
Lifestyle of the rich and shameless...

Andrew would not have invited anyone whom he thought would abuse his daughters.
I'm inclined to believe his story that he hadn't seen Epstein involved in crime and possibly Epstein was a very successful and charismatic financial adviser.
How bright is Andrew?

Andrew is bright enough to learn to fly helicopters. I have seen people on this and other fora use that as an example of someone who may not have done very well at school but is bright in areas that fit their interests to claim that Harry is 'bright'. I suspect neither are all that bright - probably of average intelligence overall.

Nobody in the royal family are anything above average in intelligence. But what that has to do with morality, I don't know.

You have the right of it. There is no way either Andrew or Sarah would ever have exposed their beloved daughters to a paedophile.
I cannot for the life of me understand the search for a reason to explain Andrew's friendship with such a creature when the answers are smacking you all in the face. Epstein was money and power personified. He had charisma in spades and he moved through the halls of power, of the aristocracy and both old and new money.
The great and the good dined at his table and drank his champaign. Are Nobel Laureates thick and not too bright either? How about a President or two? And you pick two military helicopter pilots who fought on the front lines in the theatre of war to denigrate as none too bright.
You should all be ashamed of yourselves. When any of you so very much more intelligent people have served your country in a war zone at the helm of a military helicopter, called in fire on enemy positions from a forward operating base or risked your life and helicopter trying to airlift sailors off a burning deck . . . then you can disrespect their intelligence. Until then, may I suggest you save your breath to cool your porridge!
