Thanks Princess Larissa.

I knew you would put the actual post in like that and I hope I wasn't 'reigning on your parade' with my mention that she actually was given official credit this time. She did a similar meeting earlier this year that wasn't recognised in the CC.

Nah, I don’t mind if people post the CC before me. I don’t always have time to do updates every day and as long as everyone is informed that’s the only thing that maters.

Nice to see Beatrice there but I agree that it would be better if official royal representatives had gone.

While William is patron of the England rugby, sending him all the way to Japan to watch a rugby game may have been considered a bit too much. They would not have known the team would make the semi finals, or finals, and to plan a trip spur of the moment with all the cost of security that goes with it, not good idea.

Beatrice is a private citizen. If she chooses to be in Japan for a game, that's her choice and her cost.

Nice to see her out enjoying it with Edo.

:previous: ICAM. I am starting to feel a bit sad for Beatrice and Edo. They are in a proverbial no win situation no matter what.:ermm:

Or... on the other hand, have the ways and means to go and do as they please at any given time such as attending a rugby match in Japan. I think the freedom to go and do as one pleases far outweighs the constrictions that would have surrounded this game if Beatrice actually worked for the "Firm". ?

I believe the plan has always been for William and/or Harry to attend the finals not the semi-finals.

Anne went and watched two of Scotland's matches, Charles has visited the Welsh team when training. This is the first time a royal has been seen supporting England although I wouldn't be surprised to see Harry at the final and maybe William at the third/fourth playoff (England is in the final and Harry is their patron while Wales will play-off for third against New Zealand and William is the Patron of Wales and future King of New Zealand).

With a week between the semi-finals and the finals it wouldn't be sensible for William and Harry to go across for both games and return in between and with all the royals who have been in Japan over the past week there would then be the question of what would they do for a week. A quick in and out, similar to what Charles did for the enthronement, makes sense rather than the full week long series of engagements Anne did - although she also had IOC business to attend to in the lead up to next year's Olympics. She visited a couple of the venues, which is what IOC members would be doing about now to ensure Japan is on target to host the games.

Princess Beatrice is actually one of the founders of the charity. Along with Sam and Holly Branson and a few other friends, they set it up in 2012. She had been very active with the charity. Many of the Strive events, the physical events like triathalon in Italy, have been fundraisers for it (not the holidays that the press pass it off as).

Nice to see her out tonight at Centrepoint event. I know she attended back in 2016.

:previous: What a shallow headline. And £6.50 for a smoothie?! Well, I guess when you're a member of the BRF such things don't mean much :D

If Mapelli-Mozzi remains loyal and devoted to Beatrice through what must be one of the most appalling and humiliating episodes for her life since Fergie's Cash for Access scandal, i hope it shuts down forever all the snide remarks about how he is just another cad on the make.

Edo is handsome, young, aristocratic and rich. There must be easier ways for a guy like him to climb the social ladder than
by attaching oneself to the daughter of a shamed, scandal plagued money grubbing couple like Andrew and Sarah York.

Even if it happens the granddaughter of the queen of England.

Btw...during Cash for Access Beatrice was reportedly shut away in tears at Windsor. I am glad to see her out and about her business this time.

She and her sister have done nothing wrong.

They'd still say something most be wrong with him to willing stay

:previous: While the article says she hosted the event and the invitation backs that up, I hope she was present even if there was no photo of her presence. I fear she may have felt taking part would confuse the issue.

I have long admired Beatrice and Eugenie for their work and to see them having to step back from their passion to ensure their presence doesn't muddy the waters in work makes my heart hurt for them. They have worked so hard and achieved so much, they should be able to enjoy it.

It is clear that as much as Beatrice loves and is loyal to her parents, it is HMQ that is her lodestar, the person she looks to for guidance on personal and public behavior.

And i am so proud of she and her sister Eugenie. They are apparently going to forge ahead and not hunker down in a siege mentality with their disgraced father.

Go Beatrice!;)

My impression from the article was that she was present - w/ one participant’s quoting her remarks about drawing inspiration from the Queen and another commenting on what a great hostess she was. Let’s hope she was present & there was a no pix policy, which all participants honored:flowers:

In Munich you pay up to 14 EUR /12 BPS for a (though large) cup of mulled wine...

Here in the States, there is a fast food place called Smoothie King although I've never been in one myself. Doing a check online and the price listed as £6.50 for a smoothie in the UK is very comparable with what Smoothie King here charges. Of course, they're supposedly known for being above and beyond the everyday smoothie and has good stuffs in it.

It's a popular and trendy location but maybe they thought it would be somewhere more "royal"? Or the DM thinks it should have been somewhere more Royal.

The election is Thursday 12th December, I'm not sure why it would be delaying any announcement, especially as this is most likely a private wedding.`

Since when does not having an engagement party mean the wedding isn't happening.

I hope they have a wonderful time at the party.

So...HMQ "signed off" on a wedding date only a week ago? I wonder is that true fact or FAIL FACT?:whistling:

Anyway good for them. Maybe they chose the locale because it has special meaning for the two of them.
