Varied from the day of birth (Mia Grace - via Mike's tweet announcing her birth) to about a month with Charles - announced in mid-December after a mid-November birth.
Savannah's was leaked by the minister at Sandringham a few days after she was born at the Sunday church service.
I don't know when Isla's was announced but probably a few days.
I suspect that Eugenie will announce the name on her Instagram account in a couple of days ... or Sarah will announce via her social media account.

Such wonderful news and so refreshing to have something happy occur in these troubled times.
I'm sure Fergie is just over the moon. She will be a joyful granny.

Granny Sara and Grandpa Andrew must be over the moon. I feel sorry for the little one, he will be so SPOILED, he deserve it. Hope the Queen and Prince Phillip will get the chance and see him soon. Maybe now in the near future we hear baby news from Beatrice and Edo?. Hope we will get to see him soon and get the name of the little sweetie.

Princess Eugenie and Jack have left the Portland Hospital in London, where the Princess has given birth.

She was still in the hospital?! That seems rather long. Wouldn't mother and child normally be discharged earlier than after 4 days?

It would normally be overnight or even later that day since the birth happened early in the morning. If she had a Caesarean it would not be uncommon to keep her in a couple of days at least.
Also if there's something they want to keep an eye on they keep them in a bit longer. Four days does seem quite a lot but The Portland is the 5 star equivalent of hospitals. Hopefully both are fine. She looks healthy and was waving so assume everything's ok.
This might mean we have to wait a little longer for the name if they've had other things on their minds.

This is very likely, as the insertion of the metal rods for her scoliosis could have made a natural delivery problematic.

Good point. That might indeed have complicated things...
I wouldn't be surprised if they release a clearer picture and name this weekend now they've returned home.

The was she seeked attention outside the car makes me feel she'd probably loved to show the baby to the media and public but as a result of her fathers situation it is wieser to be reluctant.
maybe the name will be released. good luck for the three!

There's a quote from Sarah from around Edward's wedding that I always remember: that she taught her girls to smile at photographers because no one wants to see an ungrateful, pouty princess.
Does she like the attention? Maybe. Was she waving to the staff around the car in the first picture? Maybe. Do I think she's proud of her son and wants to smile about him? Yep. She's also probably exhausted and relieved and happy to be going home and lifted her arm for a small wave.
She already put up a little hand picture on instagram, I don't think Andrew's situation will stop her from showing him off from time to time.

Indeed, it's her (and her hubby's) newborn son for crying out loud. Her father's business should be completely left out of this.
A belated congratulations from me to Eugenie and Jack. I am curious as to what the boy's name will be.

Congrats to the couple and I hope that the baby gets sensible names and not outrageous names like Vincent or Gabriel, etc.

Outrageous name is for example Pilot Inspector.
Vincent and Gabriel are traditional, normal names.
In fact Gabriel Brooksbank sounds quite nicely
