My guess is that they are glad because if William and Kate were not getting married there would be a lot more press intrusion about their wedding and the planning. You don't hear a lot about the planning of their wedding and IMO that might be what they were going for having the wedding a few months after William & Kate. Just my guess! :)

I would agree.
I think that once everything is confirmed (location of the wedding, reception, etc.) they will let everyone know some facts.

They're not being "eclipsed;" they're probably "over the moon."

Beaten at the punch to this news!
I was in Edinburgh this morning, there were a couple of photographers around already scoping out the area.
Handy location for the reception too.

How nice would it be if we get a glimpse of little Savannah? That would make the occasion even better.

Interesting looking church. She has such a different style (and fiancé) than Miss Middleton.

Is it normal to take a six month old baby to a wedding? She will probably spend the day in the nursery at Holyrood Palace and not know anything about it.

I have high hopes and interest in what Zara will wear. Love that she always has that little devilishness to her smile, seems to be quite full of life!

It depends, I have been to weddings with children present, and weddings where they were not invited. Sometimes a guest is rude enough to bring a child to the wedding when they have been asked not to. I had my 1st (step)cousin bring her 5 month old to our black tie evening (7:30 ceremony) wedding even though she and her mother had been instructed on 3 different occasions that we were not having kids there.

I hope they have a nice red carpet leading from the street to the church, I'm more excited about this than St. George's Chapel because it's not so private which means more pictures for us. You know someone should tell Zara since her brother had the whole hello magazine controversy she should have the wedding broadcasted on BBC to make up for it! Just kidding, I hope Zara and Mike have a nice and private wedding which seems like what they want. :)

I suspect the baby will be left at Holyroodhouse, in the care of her nanny.
