I rather think that a name from Mike's side of the family will be included also.

I kinda like Philippa. It covers a lot -Prince Philip, Mike 's dad name and Zara's maiden name.

I don't think it will be Poppy. I think Zara only made that comment as it was around Remembrance Day.
Anne Phillipa Elizabeth Michelle
(Anne & Elizabeth and probably Mike's mother's name.)
Prince Harry as godfather.

I was actually thinking about Poppy earlier. Poppy Elizabeth Tindall sounds adorable.

Exactly. You've said that better than I did! That's what I was trying to say when explaining what I meant by my term "modern-but-not–too-modern".

Poppy is one of those names that's cute while she's little, but seems rather silly for a grown woman.
I prefer the classic names, because they tend to wear well.

this article says that:
- zara was home 6 hours after giving birth (wow, that's one speedy recovery)
- they didn't know the sex of the baby, hence the name may take a bit longer...
- other patients mentioned how low key everything was: ‘It was all very normal – no armed guards, no police, nothing to suggest she was here.’

I hope that the Poppy thing isn't true. I absolutely loathe nicknames-turned-given-names. I think they look so unprofessional. Besides, these are all I can think of when hearing "poppy". Josephine Tindall nicknamed Poppy would be dear though.
I'm still hoping for a Philippa since William and Catherine probably wont use it because of her sister. Or an Alice. Philippa Linda Elizabeth or Alice Philippa. if they want to go slightly more modern, perhaps Amelia, Ava, Cora, Ottilie or Lily.

I think that naming the baby Elizabeth, Catherine or Philippa will bring added unwanted attention to the child - doubtful.

It would be better to pick an older royal name, not presently in the family such as Emma, Adela, Cecily or Arabella Tindall.

What is Poppy a nickname for? I've only ever heard it as a given name and I'm not sure how you Poppy from Josephine.

For that reason I hope they dont use it either, although I like the name a lot. The press will have fun reporting about Pippa I and Pippa II...
Hopefully Zara & Mike are smarter than that.
