It appears Andrew Parker Bowles may have just stopped to chat. However, Princess Anne and Andrew are long time friends both sharing a love for horses. I have seen him in the same box with Anne and her family at various other horse shows. He is also godfather to Anne's daughter Zara Tindall. Anne and Andrew briefly dated prior to Anne's first marriage to Captain Mark Phillips. Of course, there is the Camilla and Prince Charles connection as well. Small world.

They first visited the New South Wales Rural Fire Service Headquarters in Homebush, then visited the Sea Heritage Foundation in Waverton. In the afternoon Princess Anne hosted a garden party for her Australian based charity and military patronages at Sydney’s Government House:
