I am surprised Letizia stays on for the inauguration and doesn't fly home earlier. It means not seeing the children for a full week. Since she became a mother Felipe usually attended the south american inaugurations on his own.

Being already in America it is easier that both continue trip, if they divide that would force them to take two teams of safety and to looking for transport for the Princess. In addition, the Prince was not when Saca acceded to the government because it coincided with the wedding and the trip, so it was necessary to compensate it.

it's not a state visit but an official visit it's jc & sofia who do the state visits. the number of official visits per year varies, so far they have done 11 (as a couple) - 3 in 2004, 3 in 2005, 1 in 2006, 1 in 2007, 2 in 2008 and Colombia in 2009.

they have done a similar thing in bejing, when letizia returned home and felipe stayed on. maybe because of the schedule of the nose op and the estimated recovery time for letizia.
