Another anecdote. When they arrived to their hotel in Córdoba, they had been sent a box of traditional Argentinian alfajores (delicious cookies with dulce de leche). It was a present sent to all notable guests to the Congress of Spanish Language.
The Queen liked them so much that she asked the hotel staff about them, and when told of the company that made them, ordered 8 extra boxes to bring back as presents for the Royal Family. The great-great-grandson of the founder of the company delivered the boxes in person
