She isn't that great IMO either. I don't know about her showing up anywhere, but where is she supposed to make this supposed first appearance. Aga, you keep sounding as though you know something, but I have yet to see any actual proof, which is why I believe that nothing will come of this.

It looks like a standard B-level modeling headshot. Nothing artsy and the girl is average. Anyone can look fabu with lighting and a great hair/make-up artist.
We have heard he "be patient" and "you will see" line on other boards. And nothing came of it.
I am sure Felipe has been dating. I don't see a guy like him flying completely solo for a year. I am sure after the Eva craziness, he learned to keep his "flings" etc..on the lay low. If she is a model or wannabe then I think Felipe would DEFINITELY want to keep her hidden from mom and dad.
I doubt the king and queen would be raring again to see their son "involved" with a model or wannabe model again.

Kelly I completely agree with you. People have played games like this on other boards and they ended up getting blocked from them...so this could be the same person pulling the same tricks on this one. You don't make posts like this if you actually know something. You would say it...not play games!

i think it's a bunch of bunk! just bacuse they met(if they did) at a b'day party means nothing. I met him in new mexico and i'm a tall blonde!! i think they just met that's it(if it happened) .

I understand why posting "insider" information without giving any clues in annoying, but I don't understand why other people cannot just ignore it. You aren't required to give a response to everything. I know it is polite to respond. If you feel that you must respond you could just say "thank you for the information, etc., and go on to another topic". If she realizes that no one will respond to those kind of messages maybe she will stop posting those kind. I certainly don't mind if she keeps on posting, as long as she isn't bothering anyone and she sticks to royal topics.

I have no idea while Felipe is still single other than it will most likely to be very hard to find someone to live up to the expectations that everyone has of the next Queen of Spain and then for Felipe to actually be madly in love with this woman. I think that is a very difficult expectation. The woman has to be almost close to perfect and of course I am sure that Felipe wants to be in love with her, so that may be why he is still single-still searching for "Ms. Very Close to Perfect" that he can also have fun with and love. I guess that it sounds easy for those of who talk or write about, but we are only observers. It must difficult to have to live with such expectations from day to day and under the constant scrutiny of the media and people in general.

Okay, I know that my monicker reads, "The Elitist Snob," but I will unfortunately not live up to that today. I differ with the author of the article on a few points.
I do agree that Eva was an unsuitable choice for CP and Queen of Spain, but not because of her living conditions or her parents' marital problems and choices.
IMO, she was unsuitable because of the modeling-the lingerie modeling in particular. No one should know what a Princess or future Queen looks like in her underwear or lingerie IMO. It's just strange and undignified to me in royal terms. I also really didn't like it when she told the press where Felipe was at one point. That was none of their business and a breach of security. She displayed that she had no ability to keep her mouth shut or really reason when it was most important. The thing that finally made me ignore her existence completely: When Ms. Sannum had the idiocy and audacity to be photographed topless while with Felipe and even after they had been a couple for a while (once again-either not caring enough to behave in a manner befitting that of the girlfriend of the C.Prince of Spain or just not reasoning ). That was just ridiculous. She of all people should know that photographers are everywhere and that one should always be aware of them. That was the end of it for me.
But, I don't fault her for sharing a flat with someone in order to live at a standard which she can afford. I would have a new found respect for Mary Donaldson if she lived in an apartment that she could afford on her own salary or if she at least took a roommate to help with household expenses. It would be completely sensible. It's Fred's choice, but I don't think that Denmark's tax payers should help pay her living expenses, especially when considering that residents of Denmark pay fairlyhigh taxes. Having a roommate is one of the more sensible things that Eva has/had done, IMO. I can't fault her for her parents' divorce either. I know that Spain is very conservative and sets very high moral and ethical standards for the members of its Royal Family, but her parents' inability to live with each other was not her fault. She can also not be faulted for who her mother or father have chosen as their new spouses. She can't tell them who to marry.
On the matter of education, Eva could always have gone back to school. I think that she was majoring in advertising since the break-up or something to that effect....?

I agree with you Jacqueline. Just because you work to earn a living doesn't mean that all of a sudden you're white trash! I would actually be more than happy to see Mary Donaldson work to support herself like everyone else. Freeloading is a nice concept, but I would shudder to end up being beholden to someone else because they took care of me. I don't like being in anyone's debt for any reason. When they're married then fine, she is the Princess and can live at the Palace or in Timbuktoo, wherever on the tax payer's expense.

I think the article is intriguing as well. The fact is that if Eva were simply able to "keep it covered" so to speak she may not have annoyed or even disgusted so many people. The other things that the author mentioned were really quite frivilous details as you stated. The topless sunbathing and the lingerie modeling are the things that really ruined her.

From what I've heard Eva wasn't popular because she was an underwear model. She was also upopular with Felipe's mama, Queen Sofia, because of this and the fact that she is not of noble or royal blood (if I am wrong, please someone correct me!).

Hi Curious! Julia, and Sylvia are right. Eva was really annoying to Queen Sophia. She just behaved in a very uncivilized manner. Not only was she known to model lingerie, but she also allowed herself to be photographed sunbathing topless while she and Felipe were dating-A definite "No-No."

Well, I see why she wasn't a popular choice for future Spanish queen. Her not being Catholic nor royal did not seem like enough reason to consider her inappropriate for the position, especially in this day and age. But there is definitely something weird about having a queen whose breasts you've seen!
