Spain's Queen Sofia greets a soldier as she walks from La Almudena Cathedral to the Royal Palace in the center of Madrid Wednesday May 19, 2004. The Queen is personally overseeing preparations for Saturday's royal wedding at the cathedral between Crown Prince Felipe and Letizia Ortiz.

So is it the Queen, or the Committee! :) [/b][/quote]
I'd bet a lot of money that it's the Queen!! She's probably heard all the things that people are saying about Letizia and figures that if she plans the wedding people can't complain and blame Letizia. Or she just likes to be very hands-on. Either way, I'm sure it'll be great.

Could it be also that since she has shorter legs than Felipe, her stride are naturally shorter such that a step for him would take her 2 steps.

I know I'm always trailing behind my love because I'm smaller & he takes longer strides.

It was at the wedding of Crown Prince Frederick of Denmark and Mary Donaldson that I first took notice of Letizia up until then I had no idea Felipe was even engaged.
