With a boy born in Denmark, I'm really hoping for a little Infanta for Spain. Besides, I just love the image of Felipe with a baby girl on his arm. So sweet.:o

Also, with Elena and Cristína having boys first, I think it would be fun for their brother to have a daughter.

Within Terra's special on the pregnancy, there's a little table that, based on the woman's age and the month of conception, it says if the baby will be a boy or a girl.

Letizia was 32 (September 15th, 1972) and the conception happened in February or March (February being the more accurate guess since the due date was set for November).

Both months point to a girl....
(Mary's, February 5th, 1972, pointing at February, 33 years old, gives us a boy )

For what I have read on the Chinese table, it has to be in use according to the lunar age of the mother. The lunar age is one more year, so in case of Letizia they would be 33.
This way it explains it in this web.

You have got involved... Letizia was born in 1972, it means that when the baby was conceived she had 32 and therefore the lunar age would be 33 ... and I believe that he would be a boy.

In case the mother has born in any month that is not a January and February, her lunar age is her current age more 1 if already the birthday went on to the moment to conceive. If you were born in January or at the beginning of February, add him 2 years if to the moment to conceive already her birthday had gone on.

This poll is now closed. Princess Letizia has delivered a healthy baby girl! You can see the thread here.

In the end, 110 members voted for a boy while 71 members voted for a girl. Those who voted a girl can add psychic to their list of talents!

Congratulations to the Prince and Princess of Asturias, the royal family of Spain and Spain with their new Infanta!
