Don Felipe and Doña Letizia arrived at Brasilia on the 5 from afternoon (four hours more in Spain) after a flight of eleven hours that transferred them from Madrid to the political capital of Brazil. From cold winter to the heat, so that the shelter and the scarf that the Princes shone when embarking in the official airplane in which they crossed the Atlantic disappeared when arriving at Brasilia, where the temperatures clear the 30 degrees. In the airport they received the Spanish ambassador, Ricardo Peidró, and stops to them positions of the Ministry of Outer Subjects Brazilian.
At 8 of afternoon (midnight in Spain), the Princes were received by Lula and Leticia Da Silva, in their residence. A gesture of the Brazilian president to the princes of Asturias, to those who, besides to have to them prepared for today a Welcome at the highest level, he wanted to distinguish last night with a treatment of friends, fruit of a personal relation and institutional cradle in the knowledge and the mutual esteem.

Crown Prince Felipe of Spain and his wife, Princess Letizia, have started a five-day official visit to Brazil.
After arriving at Brasilia Airport, they went to the Bluetree Hotel, where they will be staying whilst in the capital, and after getting changed they were taken to President Lula's residence for dinner.

Lula receives the princes of Asturias

BRASÍLIA - The president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva receives at noon the Princes of Asturias (Spain), Felipe de Borbón and Letizia Ortiz, at the Nobel Room of the Planalto Palace, following, a private meeting will take place. Right after that, the president offers a lunch in honor of the princes at the Itamaraty Palace. Before, at 9h30, Felipe de Borbón and Letizia Ortiz will be received by the presidents of the Senate, Renan Calheiros and of the Congress, Severino Cavalcanti. They'll also meet, at 15h10, the president of the Supreme Court (STF), Nelson Jobim. At 19h30, they'll leave for São Paulo.
