Monarchy Confidential has learned that a few months ago launched the Platform Monarchist Spain to officially promote the January 30th National Day of King Felipe VI.

A spokesman for the platform explains that the idea came from a group of citizens, especially in Barcelona and elsewhere in Catalonia, who contacted groups of monarchists who know there trying to launch various campaigns in favor of the Crown.

The first campaign they have undertaken is set Jan. 30 as "National Day of King Felipe VI", coinciding with the birthday of the Head of State. They claim that the Government will include this date in the calendar of holidays throughout Spain.

Those responsible explain that for example in the Netherlands this is a tradition. The "Konigsdag" or "Day of the King" is currently being held on April 27, the birthday of William Alexander. Previously it was on April 30 by the birthday of Queen Juliana, even during the reign of Beatrice (daughter and mother Juliana Guillermo).

That day is the main national holiday in Holland and across the country fairs, markets and musical concerts, the royal family visit a Dutch municipality and Amsterdam engala orange, the color of the Orange dynasty.

An association to promote the monarchy
The monarchist platform that wants to establish this party goes first to form an association in the coming months. Thus they seek to address both officially the King's House and the government to present its proposal officially.
Before you try to present your idea to celebrate January 30 as the Day of King Felipe VI in society. It already has support in social networks, and have even received support from outside Spain.
Although this January 30 they will not yet launched the campaign as such, if they plan to perform actions on social media to start promoting that day as a celebration of the monarchy in Spain.
Later, after having formed the association, they plan to launch other initiatives: all with the aim of encouraging citizens to support Philip and to the Crown.
