She's still going to Barcelona right? Both events take place close to each other.

Yes Tuesday 16 she will be in Barcelona, and next day in Italy.

It´s a music festival

This is an important cultural event held since 1951. The Queen was invited to the festival for her efforts to build bridges between cultures.

translated article:

Queen Rania of Jordan and Robbie Williams will be at the Festival of Sanremo

Rome, Jan 27 (EFE) .- Queen Rania of Jordan and British singer Robbie Williams will be among the guests at the 60th Sanremo Festival, which will also involve the Scottish singer Susan Boyle, in his first performance in Italy, and a German Tokio Hotel.

. . . As artistic director of the competition, Gianmarco Mazzi, the decision to invite the Queen Rania of Jordan is due to the fact that she is a person "who represents hope for dialogue between cultures." Google Translate
