Woooooow!

I completely didn't expect that!

Their Majesties The King and the Queen are surely bursting with joy!

First their older daughter said "yes", and now their firstborn son and heir heard "yes"!!!

:lucky::lucky:

Congratulations, Congratulations, CONGRATULATIONS to Crown Prince Hussein and Rajwa, the future Queen of Jordan!:heartflower::twohearts:???

What is known about the bride and her family?

Wonderful news
Congratulations to the couple and both families
Looking forward the wedding

:flowers: Congratulations to CP Hussein and Rajwa! Busy times for the JRF as they now have two engaged couples and two weddings to plan.

Wonderful news! They make a lovely couple. I wonder will brother or sister make it up the aisle first?

Probably sister, she got engaged earlier.

The bride to be looks a bit older than the crown prince while in reality she is only 2 months his senior. I guess Hussein himself just looks a bit younger than his 28 years...

Congrats to the couple! I had no idea he was dating but I assume they've seen each other for a while as it quite a daunting task to take on for the until now anonymous Rajwa/Ragwa.

I wonder whether her mother is alive and 'not to be seen'... as the only women in the pictures are the future bride herself and queen Rania

Looks like the bride's father is the former chair of an Insurance Company (Amana Cooperative Insurance Co); see Bloomberg.

Elsewhere (relationshipscience) I am reading: "Khaled bin Musaed Al-Seif is President & Chief Executive Officer at El-Seif Group of Cos." It is one of the top-25 companies in Saudi Arabia, so money won't be an issue. Within the El-Seif Group he has multiple companies, so he clearly is a successful businessman. See also this profile.

And some more information about the family on Royanews: the family apparently are the local sheiks in Al-Attar.

Is the beautful fiancée's mom related to the Sudairi Seven in the al Saud family?

Is the beautful fiancée's mom related to the Sudairi Seven in the al Saud family?

Her full name is: Azza bint Nayef Abdulaziz Ahmed al-Sudairi.

Given the prominence of the family, I wouldn't be surprised if the bride's mother is indeed somehow related to Hussa bint Ahmed al-Sudairi (the mother of the famous 7 (and one more son and 4 daughters)). Of course there are many Ahmeds, but it seems both Azza's paternal great-grandfather is called Ahmed al-Sudairi as well as the grandfather of the Sudairi seven. So, if we are talking about the same Ahmed, the bride to be would be a cousin twice removed from the current king.

Rajwa - Azza - Nayef - Abdulaziz - Ahmed
Salman - Hussa - Ahmed

Edit: According to wikipedia Hussa does indeed have a brother called Abdulaziz (again not an uncommon name - also shared by her own husband); but theoretically it is still possible that we are talking about the same Ahmed Al-Sudairi.

Both the Al Saif family as well as the Al Sudairi's are prominent in the Najd region where the Al Saifs are sheiks of the town of Al-Attar in Sudair, Najd and the Al Sudairi's are part of the noble Dawasir tribe settled in Al Ghat, Najd - about 100 km further down the road from Riyadh.

Well, Princess Fahdah Hashem's mother is also from the Al Sudairi family. Her name is Sharifa bint Turki Al Sudairi.

Congratulations to the couple and their families!

I read elsewhere that it is an arranged marriage.

I personally doubt this is an arranged marriage, considering Queen Rania is from a commoner background and CP Hussein's parents' marriage is a love marriage

And King Abdullah himself was also a fruit of a love match (his mom is BRITISH and former Christian).

And the fact that his parents' love has ended is a different matter.

can anyone tell me which male members of the JRF attended the ceremony?

If Saudi Arabia is more powerful than Jordan, are the parents of the bride actually better than the parents of the crown prince

Her mother is related to Salman

Yes, her mother's name is Azza bint Nayef bin Abdelaziz bin Ahmad Al Sudairy. Azza's grandfather Abdelaziz was the matermal uncle to Saudi king Salman and his full siblings ( children of the late Hussa Bint Ahmad Al Sudairy).

Then, if I understand correctly, Rajwa's mother is a second cousin of the current crown prince regent of Saudi Arabia?

As usual, Hamza's absence I wonder about the absence of Faisal and Talal as they are the closest family members to the king!! Wow, Hashem bin Al-Hussein reappeared and came to the fore again after months of absence in solidarity with Hamza, but it seems that he retreated from solidarity and decided to stand in the side of the king or was forced to retreat

Then, if I understand correctly, Rajwa's mother is a second cousin of the current crown prince regent of Saudi Arabia?
Something like this, the same degree of relationship as the mother of Prince Fahda to the King and Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia

What I know is that Prince Hashem bin Al Hussein has been in Saudi Arabia for two weeks before the engagement. Was it for the engagement arrangements or just a family visit to his wife’s family?

I am not familiar with muslim engagement ceremonies, but:

Can someone tell me what has happened during the engagement ceremony? Was this with religious influences?
