Queen Elizabeth II was joined by the Duke of Cambridge on Tuesday as she welcomed the President of Germany to Buckingham Palace for a private luncheon. The Queen and her grandson greeted President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and his wife Elke Büdenbender in the Grand Entrance, before lunch in the 1844 Room. Later in the day, the Queen received the French and Jordanian ambassadors.
