A new royal has popped up in Rio to support the Norwegian athletes, Crown Prince Haakon, who arrived yesterday. He spent Thursday at the men’s triathlon, cheering on Kristian Blummenfelt who came 13th. He also watched the women’s handball semi-final between Norway and Russia. Queen Silvia of Sweden has paid a visit to a youth summer camp organised by The World Childhood Foundation and the Deutsche Fernsehlotterie at the Erlebnispark Schloss Thurn in Heroldsbach, Germany. Prince Alexander To Be Christened On September 9

Sweden’s youngest Prince, Alexander, will be christened on Friday September 9 at the Drottningholm Palace Chapel, the Royal Court has announced today. The Chapel was the location of the christening of Alexander’s two cousins, Princess Leonore and Prince Nicolas, the children of Princess Madeleine. Prince Alexander was born on April 19 and is the first child of Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia.
