Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark and Crown Prince Haakon of Norway joined about 30,000 cross country skiers in Norway’s oldest race named Birkebeinerrennet. The event kicked off this morning at 8:30am Norwegian time and the distance race was 54km. One rule of the race is that all participants must carry a backpack with 3.5kg on their backs during the race.

Denmark’s Crown Princess this afternoon attended the world premiere of the documentary Jaha’s Promise at the Grand Theatre in Copenhagen. The documentary follows the story of Gambian-born Jaha Dukureh, who went through female circumcision as a newborn and was married off at the age of 15.
