Britain’s best known landmark will undergo a 10 year planned refurbishment which is to cost £369million. After Parliamentary approval, the palace will undergo the essential renovation on replacing boilers, cables, pipes and electrical wires. Work is to start taking place next April. Her Royal Highness Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein joined the “March of Dubai for Walking 24 hours” on Thursday morning. The walk is 90km and its to raise awareness for diabetes and funds for the Al Jalila Foundation in Dubai and Tkiyet Um Ali in Jordan. After completing 45km, Princess Haya had to pull out of the walk as she suffered a knee injury.
