Frederik Opens Track Cycling World Cup Final
Pulling the trigger for the women’s 200m sprint on February 13, Crown Prince Frederik officially opened the 2009 Track World Cup Final at the Ballerup Super Arena in Copenhagen.
Frederik told reporters at the event: “I see it as a goal to attract international events in different sports to the country and I think it is a good idea inviting the world of sport. Sport is a universal language.”
Frederik is an avid sports fan and supporter, and has worked previously to bring the Farr40 Sailing World Championships to Denmark in 2007.
The event runs from February 13 to February 15.
